VISUAL COMFORT CHC 5066 Bayridge XL Pendant
Product Information
The Bayridge XL Pendant is a light fixture that needs to be installed in accordance with all applicable local installation codes. It comes with a mounting plate, canopy, glass shade, collar loop, quick links, chain, and wire for installation. The light fixture does not include bulbs.
Product Usage Instructions
- Inspect the item and contents carefully. Do not install if any damage or defect is found. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.
- Use the tools required for installation (Phillips Screwdriver, Slotted Screwdriver, Slip Joint Pliers, Measuring Tape, Wire Strippers, Chain Pliers Wire Cutters).
- Remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.
- Remove mounting plate (B) from canopy (F) by removing collar ring (G).
- Install mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (C).
- Secure collar loop (D) to mounting plate (B) using pliers to tighten locknut.
- Install canopy (F) to collar loop (D) and secure with collar ring (G).
- Install glass shade (L) to metal cap (J) and secure with rubber band (N).
- Twist all fixture wires together and slip through the center hole of the collar loop.
- Separate two sides of molded wire and strip insulation on each 5/8.
- Loosen collar ring (G) and let canopy (F) slip down chain (H) carefully.
- Thread fixture wire and ground wire through chain (H). When you reach the collar loop (D), ensure there is no tension on the wires. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave about 12 inches to reach the junction box.
- Determine desired overall length and amount of chain (H) needed. Shorten the chain using chain pliers (keep extra chain).
- Attach chain (H) to collar loop (D) and fixture loop (I) using quick links (E). Secure quick links (E).
- Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.
- Install canopy (F) to collar loop (D) and secure with collar ring (G).
Care Instructions

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
NOTICE:

operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents

packaging material until installation is complete and approved
TOOLS REQUIRED NOT INCLUDED
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Slotted Screwdriver
- Chain Pliers
- Slip Joint Pliers
- Measuring Tape
- Wire Cutters
- Wire Strippers

Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

Remove mounting plate (B) from canopy (F) by removing collar ring (G).

Install mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (C).

Secure collar loop (D) to mounting plate (B) using pliers to tighten locknut.

Install canopy (F) to collar loop (D) and secure with collar ring (G).

Install glass shade (L) to metal cap (J) and secure with rubber washer (O) and knurled ring (P).
NOTE : Do not over-tighten otherwise glass could become damaged. -
Install metal ring (Q) and spacers (M) to fixture arm (K) and secure with thumbscrews (N).

Feed fixture wire and ground wire through glass shade (L) and metal cap (J), then thread rod (R) to metal cap (J).

Install light bulbs into the sockets.

Thread rod (T) to bottom center of the cluster (S).

Attach rubber washers (V) to either side of glass shade (W) and secure to threaded nipple (U) with metal washer (V1) and knurled ring (X).
NOTE : Do not over-tighten otherwise glass could become damaged. -
Install bottom cap (Y) to threaded nipple (U) and secure with finial (Z).

Determine desired overall length, and amount of chain (H) needed. Shorten chain using chain pliers. (Keep extra chain)

Attach chain (H) to collar loop (D) and fixture loop (I) using quick links (E). Secure quick links (E).

Thread fixture wire and ground wire through chain (H).
NOTE : When you reach the collar loop (D), ensure there is no tensionon the wires. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave about 12” to reach the junction box. -
Separate two sides of molded wire, and strip insulation on each 5/8″.

Loosen collar ring (G) and let canopy (F) slip down chain (H) carefully.

Twist all fixture wires together, and slip through center hole of collar loop (D).
NOTE : Untwist wires and separate to prepare for connection. -
Wrap fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 1). Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (A).
NOTE : It is imperative that the fixture is grounded. -
Connect fixture neutral wire (ribbed) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).

Connect fixture hot wire (smooth with markings) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
CAUTION : Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections -
Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.

Install canopy (F) to collar loop (D) and secure with collar ring (G).
