Product Information

The Talia Small Chandelier is a light fixture that requires installation by a person familiar with its construction and operation. The chandelier comes with a mounting plate, collar loop, canopy, chain, fixture loop, hooks, and molded wires. The chandelier does not come with bulbs.

Product Usage Instructions: Assembly

  1. Remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.
  2. Unscrew the quick link to remove the collar loop from the chain.
  3. Install the mounting plate onto the junction box and secure it with mounting screws.
  4. Secure the collar loop onto the mounting plate using pliers to tighten the locknut.
  5. Install the canopy onto the collar loop and secure it with the collar ring.
  6. Determine the desired overall length of the chandelier and the amount of chain needed. Shorten chain using chain pliers and keep extra chain.
  7. Attach the chain to the collar loop and fixture loop using quick links. Secure quick links.
  8. Attach chains to hooks on fixture body and hooks on the bottom of fixture loop.
  9. Thread fixture wire and ground wire through chain. When reaching the collar loop, ensure there is no tension on the wires. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave about 12 inches to reach the junction box.
  10. Separate two sides of molded wire and strip insulation on each 5/8 inch.
  11. Twist all fixture wires together and slip through center hole of collar loop. Untwist wires and separate to prepare for connection.
  12. Wrap fixture ground wire around the green grounding screw and tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire using wire nut.
  13. Connect fixture neutral wire to the supply neutral wire using wire nut.
  14. Connect fixture hot wire to the supply hot wire using wire nut. Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
  15. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.
  16. Install canopy onto collar loop and secure it with collar ring.
  17. Insert light bulbs into the sockets.
  18. Install glass balls starting from the bottom (layer 1).
    Note: Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved. It is imperative that the fixture is grounded. Do not install if any damage or defect is found.

NOTICE:
This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.

TOOLS REQUIRED (NOT INCLUDED)

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Slip Joint Pliers
  • Wire Strippers
  • Slotted Screwdriver
  • Measuring Tape
  • Chain Pliers
  • Wire Cutters

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

  2. Remove collar loop (D) from chain (H) by unscrewing quick link (G).

  3.  Install mounting plate (B) to junction box and secure with mounting screws (C).

  4.  Secure collar loop (D) to mounting plate (B) using pliers to tighten locknut.

  5. Install canopy (E) to collar loop (D) and secure with collar ring (F).

  6. Determine desired overall length, and amount of chain (H) needed. Shorten chain using chain pliers. (Keep extra chain)

  7. Attach chain (E) to collar loop (D) and fixture loop (I) using quick links (G). Secure quick links (H).

  8. Attach chains (J) to hooks on fixture body (K) and hooks on the bottom of fixture loop (I).

  9. Thread fixture wire and ground wire through chain (J) and chain (H). NOTE: When you reach the collar loop (D), ensure there is no tension on the wires. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave about 12” to reach the junction box.

  10. Separate two sides of molded wire, and strip insulation on each 5/8″.

  11.  Loosen collar ring (F) and let canopy (E) slip down chain (H) carefully.

  12. Twist all fixture wires together. Slip through center hole of collar
    loop (D).
    NOTE: Untwist wires and separate to prepare for connection.

  13. Wrap fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 1). Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (A).
    NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.

  14. Connect fixture neutral wire (ribbed) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).

  15.  Connect fixture hot wire (smooth with markings) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
    CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

  16.  Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.

  17. Install canopy (E) to collar loop (D) and secure with collar ring (F).

  18. Insert light bulbs into the sockets.

  19. Install glass balls starting from bottom (layer 1) and working your way to the top (layer 6) as shown in figures L1-L6.
