Product Information

The Comtesse Small Pendant is a light fixture that requires installation. It should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. The package includes a mounting plate (B), canopy (D), collar ring (E), bottom rod (H), fixture neutral wire (white), and fixture hot wire (black).
The Comtesse Small Pendant should be cleaned only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do not use abrasive or chemical agents.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.
2. Remove mounting plate (B) from canopy (D) by removing collar ring (E).
3. Install mounting plate (B) to junction box and secure with mounting screws (C).
4. Feed electrical and ground wires through bottom rod (H) and connect.
5. Attach the fixture to the bottom rod (H) using the provided screws and nuts.
6. Attach the canopy (D) to the fixture using the provided screws and nuts.
7. Strip approximately 3/4 inch of insulation from each electrical wire.
8. Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the supply ground wire (usually green or bare) using a wire nut (A).
9. Connect the remaining wires as follows:
   • Connect fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).
   • Connect fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
10. CAUTION : Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
11. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.
12. Install canopy (D) to mounting plate (B) and secure with collar ring (E).

NOTICE:

This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.

TOOLS REQUIRED

• Phillips Screwdriver
• Slotted Screwdriver
• Wire Cutters
• Wire Strippers

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

2. Remove mounting plate (B) from canopy (D) by removing collar ring (E).

3. Install mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (C).

4. Feed electrical and ground wires through the bottom rod (H) and connect to the fixture body (I). Repeat for middle rod (G), connecting to the bottom rod (H).

5. Continue feeding wires through collar ring (E), canopy (D), and top rod (F).

6. Holding fixture upright, slide collar ring (E) and canopy (D) down and rest on fixture body (I). Then connect top rod (F) to the middle rod (G).
   NOTE : Slide components down slowly to avoid damage.

7. Hang the fixture swivel ball (J) to the center of the mounting plate (B).

8. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave enough to reach the junction box. Separate wires, and strip insulation on each 5/8”.

9. Wrap fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 1). Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (A).
   NOTE : It is imperative that the fixture is grounded

10. Connect the fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).

11. Connect the fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
    CAUTION : Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

12. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.

13. Install canopy (D) to mounting plate (B) and secure with collar ring (E).

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do Not use abrasive or chemical agents.
