Product Information
The L100 Classic MkII is a 3-way bookshelf loudspeaker designed for high-
quality audio reproduction. It features a 12-inch cast-frame pure pulp cone
woofer, a 5.25-inch polymer-coated pure pulp cone mid-frequency driver, and a
1-inch titanium dome tweeter with an acoustic lens and waveguide. The
loudspeaker has a recommended amplifier power of 25-200 Watts RMS, an
impedance of 4 ohms, and a sensitivity of 90dB. It has a frequency response
range of 40Hz-40kHz (-6dB) and a crossover frequency of 450Hz and 3.5kHz.
The loudspeaker is finished in natural walnut veneer with black, orange, or
blue quadric foam grilles. It weighs 63 lb (28.6 kg) each.

**Placement and Positioning
**
When setting up the L100 Classic MkII loudspeaker, ensure that it is placed on a stable surface or stand. It is recommended to use the JBL JS-120 or JS-150 stand for optimal positioning. The recommended stand height is 7in (180mm).
Wiring and Connections
Before wiring the loudspeaker, ensure that the amplifier is turned off. The L100 Classic MkII loudspeaker supports different wiring options:
- Single-Wire Connection: Use a basic single-wire connection from the amplifier.
- B-Wire Connections: Use a two-wire connection from a single amplifier. It is recommended to use HF Positive and LF Negative. Remove terminal straps before connecting.
- Bi-Amp Connections: Use a two-wire connection from multiple amplifiers. Remove terminal straps before connecting.
Controls and Adjustments
The L100 Classic MkII loudspeaker features level controls that allow you to
adjust the level of the mid-range driver and tweeter independently from the
level of the woofer. The default setting of 0dB represents a flat balance
between all three drivers, but you can adjust the level of the tweeter and/or
mid-range driver if needed.
For mid frequencies (MF Level) adjustments, use the corresponding control. For
high frequencies (HF Level) adjustments, use the respective control.
Controls and Adjustments
This speaker features level controls that can be used to adjust the level of
the mid-range driver and tweeter independently from the level of the woofer.
The default setting of 0dB represents a flat balance between all three
drivers, however in some cases there may be a need to adjust the level of the
tweeter and/or mid-range driver.
Mid Frequencies (MF Level) Adjustments
- For rooms where the mid frequencies sound more forward, lower the relative MF level by turning the knob counterclockwise.
- For rooms where the mid frequencies require more presence, raise the relative MF level by turning the knob clockwise.
High Frequencies (HF Level) Adjustments
- For rooms where the high frequencies sound bright, lower the relative HF level by turning the knob counterclockwise.
- For rooms where the high frequencies sound dim, raise the relative HF level by turning the knob clockwise.
