VISUAL COMFORT S4195 Halle 11 Inch Flush Mount
Product Information
The Halle 11 Flush Mount (Item # S 4195) is a light fixture that requires
installation in accordance with all applicable local installation codes. It
comes with a mounting plate, lantern, glass panels, and screws. The light
fixture requires a light bulb for operation, which is not included in the
package.
The product has specific assembly instructions that should be followed
carefully. Tools required for the installation include a Phillips screwdriver,
slotted screwdriver, drill, and pencil. The product also comes with a notice
that advises the user to inspect the item and contents carefully before
installation. If any damage or defect is found, the product should not be
installed.
Product Usage Instructions
- Carefully remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.
- Remove the mounting plate (B) from fixture body (G) by removing side screws (F).
- Remove lantern (I) from fixture body (G) by removing side screws (H).
- Using mounting plate (B) as a guide, line it up with the junction box and mark anchor positions.
- Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the marked positions. Install anchors (A) into holes using the hammer.
- Install mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure it with mounting screws (D), then secure wood screws (C) to anchors (A).
- Wrap fixture ground wire (green) around the green grounding screw on the mounting plate (B) and tighten the screw.
- Connect fixture wires to the wires in the junction box using wire connectors.
- Secure wire connectors with electrical tape.
- Attach the fixture to the mounting plate by securing it with side screws (F).
- Remove metal tabs (M) from lantern (I) by unscrewing screws (L), then install glass panels (J) & (K) to lantern (I) and secure them with metal tabs (M) using screws (L). Note: Do not over-tighten otherwise shade could become damaged.
- Install a light bulb into the socket.
- Install lantern (I) to fixture body (G) and secure it with side screws (H).
Product Care Instructions: The product should be cleaned only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Abrasive or chemical agents should not be used for cleaning.
NOTICE:
This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

Remove mounting plate (B) from fixture body (G) by removing side screws (F).

Remove lantern (I) from fixture body (G) by removing side screws (H).

Using mounting plate (B) as a guide, line up with the junction box and mark anchor positions.

Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the marked positions. Install anchors (A) into holes using the hammer.

Install mounting plate (B) to junction box and secure with mounting screws (D), then secure wood screws (C) to anchors (A).

Wrap fixture ground wire (green) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 1). Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (E).
NOTE : It is imperative that the fixture is grounded. -
Connect fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (E).

Connect fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (E).
CAUTION : Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections. -
Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.

Install fixture body (G) to mounting plate (B) and secure with side screws (F).

Remove metal tabs (M) from lantern (I) by unscrewing screws (L), then install glass panels (J) & (K) to lantern (I) and secure with metal tabs (M) using screws (L).
NOTE : Do not over-tighten otherwise shade could become damaged. -
Install light bulb into the socket.

Install lantern (I) to fixture body (G) and secure with side screws (H).
