BEFORE STARTING

  1. Install the lifting bracket.
    • Use the supplied bolts to secure the lifting bracket to the frame.
  2. Use the lifting hook to lift to raise the generator enough to install the wheels.
    • Use the lifting hook to carefully remove the generator from the pallet.
  3. Install wheels.
    • Insert axle bolt through washer and wheel and slide cotter pin into the top of the axle pin to prevent it from sliding off the wheel.
    • Install the axle bolt and wheel through another washer and then through the axle bracket on the frame.
    • Install the second cotter pin through the end of the axle bolt to lock it in place.
  4. Remove the generator from the pallet.
    • Use the lifting hook to place the generator on a flat surface.
  5. Add engine oil.
    • Remove the oil fill cap on top of the engine.
    • Using the supplied engine oil and funnel, slowly add engine oil to the engine until full.
    • Use the pull-out oil dipstick to check oil levels.
    • Replace the oil fill plug.
  6. Add unleaded gasoline to the gas tank.
    • Unscrew the gas cap on top of the tank and insert a clean funnel into the tank.
    • Slowly add gasoline to the fuel tank. The gasoline level should NOT be higher than the filler neck.
    • Secure gas cap.

STARTING PROCEDURE

  1. Make sure the generator is OUTSIDE in a well-ventilated dry area and FAR AWAY from any doors, windows, or vents.
  2. Check fuel and oil levels.
  3. Make sure nothing is plugged into power outlets.
  4. Connect battery.
  5. Make sure the circuit breakers are properly set to operating.
  6. Move the fuel valve to the ON position.
  7. Switch the engine switch to RUN.
  8. Choose starting method:
    • a. Push-Button Start: Hold for 1 second and release when the engine starts.
    • b. Wireless Remote Start: Hold the Start button on the wireless remote for 1 second and release.
  9. Plug-in electronic devices.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Following the maintenance schedule is important to keep the generator in good operating condition. The following is a summary of maintenance items by periodic maintenance intervals. Refer to the Maintenance section in the Owners Manual to find out how to properly perform maintenance.

  1. Change oil every month when operating under heavy loads or in high temperatures.
  2. Clean more often under dirty or dusty conditions.
  3. Recommended service by authorized Westinghouse dealer.

ENGINE OIL

  • Only use 4-stroke/cycle engine oil. NEVER USE 2-STROKE/CYCLE OIL.
  • Synthetic oil is an acceptable substitute for conventional oil.

DANGER
Using a generator indoors

CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES.

  • Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide.
  • This is a poison you cannot see or smell.

NEVER use it inside a home or garage, EVEN IF doors and windows are open.

Only use OUTSIDE and far away from windows, doors, and vents

Avoid other generator hazards. READ THE MANUAL BEFORE USE.
