Product Usage Instructions

Before using the EAMAT 1 handheld vacuum cleaner, it is essential to read the instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. Steps to Use the Product

  1. Connect the power cord to the device.
  2. Turn on/off the device using the on/off button.
  3. To unlock the dust container, press the dust container unlock button.
  4. Remove the dust container and empty it in a waste bin.

use

Simultaneous vacuum and UV light functions

  1. Place the handheld vacuum cleaner in the base. You will hear a “CLICK” when it is in place.

  2. Press the ON/OFF button (a) to turn on the device.

  3. Press the button on the base of the device (b) to activate the vibration function.

  4. The UV light will turn on when the three UV safety switches (the three small wheels) are in contact with the surface of the object to be cleaned. You can
    verify this using the indicator lights in the window on the upper part of the front of the base (c).

Safety precautions

  1. Prolonged exposure to the UV light can be dangerous!

  2. Do not force the safety switches to be activated manually.

  3. Do not vacuum up large or sharp objects, as this may damage the vacuum cleaner.

  4. Once finished, detach the 2-in-1 brush from the tool and place it in the slot on the base.

  5. Press the button on the upholstery tool (a) and retract the tool (b).

Recommendations for cleaning your mattress and/or bed

For the UV light to be fully effective against dust mites and bacteria, it is important that the area be exposed to UV light for a sufficient amount of time. Please follow the recommendations below:

  1. It is best to start at one corner of the mattress.

  2. Lay the device flat against the surface to be cleaned.

  3. For the UV light to turn on, the three safety switches must be in contact with the surface to be cleaned.

  4. Move the device in a smooth, steady motion.

  5. To ensure that the mattress has been completely cleaned, please proceed following the diagram below.

  6. For double beds, it is recommended you do one side at a time.

  7. Move the vacuum cleaner at a speed of less than 20 seconds per metre and
    repeat three times.

  8. It is recommended to clean both sides of the mattress.

  9. The same method is recommended for the duvet and pillows.

  10.  For used mattresses, clean them daily for the first 7 days, and then once a month. For new mattresses, one cleaning per month is sufficient.

  11. Follow the same instructions for carpets.

cleaning and maintenance

Allergy sufferers: when emptying a vacuum cleaner, exposure to dust is nearly inevitable.

To minimize dust exposure, make sure to completely cover the dust container with a bag before emptying it. Remove the emptied container, then close the bag as quickly and tightly as possible and dispose of it immediately.

It is recommended to wear disposable clothing and a protective mask when emptying the vacuum cleaner. If possible, have a non-allergy sufferer empty the dust container. It is important to empty the dust container and clean the filter regularly to prevent the vacuum cleaner from losing efficiency. It is best to empty and clean it after each use.

  1. Unplug the handheld vacuum cleaner from the power supply and separate it from the base of the device by pulling the lever up.

  2. Press the dust container release button to release the vacuum container.

  3. Pull out the filter assembly and empty the dust from the container into a trash can.

  4. Turn the HEPA filter anticlockwise (a), then remove it (b).

  5. Reassemble the parts in reverse order.

Cleaning the UV light

During use, dust builds up on the UV light, reducing its efficiency. It must therefore be cleaned regularly.

  1. Remove the UV light protective cover from the base by unlocking the button with a coin.

  2. Use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or dirt on the UV light.

  3. Reassemble the UV light protective cover.

Replacing the UV light

Before replacing the UV light, make sure that the vacuum cleaner is turned off and unplugged. The standard life of the bulb under normal use is two to three years.

  1. Remove the light protective cover from the base as described in the instructions in the “Cleaning the UV Light” section.
  2. Remove the UV light.
  3. Hold the light connectors and turn the light 90° in the direction (a). Pull the light in the direction (b) (follow the same instructions for the other side).

Reassemble the UV light protective cover as described in the instructions in the “Cleaning the UV Light” section.
