getting started
- Remove the appliance from the packaging, taking care to remove the packing materials.
- Wipe the basewith a soft, clean cloth.
- Wash the plates and accessories with a soft sponge, hot water and some washing-up liquid. Rinse with clean water and thoroughly dry using a soft cloth.
- A slight odour and a little smoke might be emitted the first time the appliance is used. This is normal and will soon stop.
USE
Installing the appliance
- Place the base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Fully unwind the power cable.
- Place one of the two plates on the base. Make sure the plate is flat and stable before you start making the pancakes.
Start-up/Preheating
- Plug the power cord into an easily accessible power outlet. The red power indicator switches on.
- Turn the temperature control all the way to the right to heat the appliance. The green heating indicator lights up to indicate that the appliance is heating up. Once the appliance has reached its temperature, the green light switches off.
WARNING: Accessible surfaces may be very hot when the appliance is on. Never touch the cooking plates during use as you could burn yourself. Use only the spatula or another heat- – resistant utensil.
- Use the ladle provided to pour the pancake batter on the large plate or on the 7 mit marked on the plate. Use the spatula to flip the pancakes. Do not use metal uten: could damage the non-stick coating of the plates.
- The spreader is used to spread the pancake batter on the large plate. Pour the batter into the centre of the plate and spread it using a circular motion starting at the centre of the plate. Wipe the spreader between each pancake and place it in a container full of water.
- You can adjust the temperature control button at any time to obtain a higher or lower temperature.
- At the end of use, set the temperature control button to the MIN position. Unplug the appliance from the socket. Wait for the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
Cleaning
- After use, unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet. LEAVE THE DIFFERENT PARTS TO COOL DOWN BEFORE CLEANING.
- Never use scouring pads or abrasive detergents for cleaning.
- Never immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
- Wipe the base with a soft sponge lightly dampened in warm soapy water. Dry with a soft, clean cloth. Be careful to ensure that no water gets inside the appliance.
- Wash the stainless steel bowl with a soft sponge, hot water and some washing up liquid. Rinse with clean water and thoroughly dry using a soft cloth. Do not soak the wooden utensils.
- Only the plates and the ladle are dishwasher-safe.
storage
- After cleaning the appliance and its accessories, store them in their original packaging in a cool, dry place.
- Make sure all the parts are clean and dry before putting them away.
- You can wind up the power cord under the base.
pancake batter recipe
Ingredients:
- 250 g of flour
- 3 eggs
- 250 ml of milk
- 250 ml of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of table salt
- 2 tablespoons of oil
