How it works
A »lisa RF« alerting system consists of at least one transmitter (e.g.
doorbell pushbutton) and a receiver.
The tabletop receiver receives the event signals from various lisa RF
transmitters and converts them into a visual display.
It has an all-round illuminated area that draws attention to an incoming event
signal and additional coloured indicators show the type of incoming event
signal. Tones can also be activated on this receiver.
Safety instructions
- Prior to putting the device into operation and using it, please read this manual thoroughly.
- Keep this manual in a safe place so that it is also accessible for other users at any time.
Setup

The battery compartment is located on the underside. Press the latches of the
battery compartment cover slightly towards the center of the bottom of the
device and lift the cover off
Now insert the 4 supplied rechargeable batteries. Make sure they are inserted
in the correct direction according to the markings.
Close the battery compartment by replacing the cover and pressing it shut.
Connect the power supply unit. The charging time is approx. 6 hours.

Use the rotating volume control to set the volume of the alerting tone.
Warning:
This device can generate sounds of up to 90 dB!
In order to protect your hearing, please set a low volume to begin with and
only then adjust it to the desired volume.

When triggered, the event icons will remain visible for 40 seconds.
The icons symbolize:
Alarm indication: All 6 icons light up.
Tones
There are different tones assigned to the symbols. They are activated when the
signal selector switch (9) is in position 0 and 1. The volume can be adjusted
with the rotary volume control (7).
Status-LED
The receiver’s batteries charge status is indicated as follows:
- A sufficient batteries charge level of the receiver is indicated by the status LED flashing every 5 to 6 seconds in red.
- A low batteries level of the receiver is indicated by the status LED flashing every two seconds in red.
Please recharge the receiver as soon as possible (attach it to the power supply unit).
Note: The operating time per battery charge is 1 day. It is recommended to connect the unit overnight with the mains adapter.
Behaviour of the status LED when the power supply unit is connected:
When charging the batteries: The status indicator lights up red. The red light
is interrupted for half a second every 6 seconds.
Batteries are charged and the unit is ready for operation: The status
indicator lights up green. Every 6 seconds, the status indicator briefly
lights up in red.
No batteries inserted: The status indicator lights up with alternating green
and orange.
If the unit is not used for a longer period of time (> 3 months), remove the
rechargeable batteries.
Recalling the last alert, cancelling the current alert
The tabletop receiver stores an incoming signal for approx. 3 minutes. During
this time, you can call it up again by pressing the function button »●« button
to display the last registered alert again.
You can also cancel an active indicated alert by pressing this button.
AUX-socket and power connector
The »AUX«-socket (8) and the connector for the power supply (10) can be found
on the rear of the receiver.
All Humantechnik modules can be connected to the AUX-output (vibrating pad,
flash module, vibrating contraption etc, available as accessories). An
indicated event will be forwarded to the connected modules which will then
react accordingly.
The power connector is used to power the receiver via the power supply unit.
This is used to recharge the batteries, but it can remain connected for
continuous operation of the receiver.
Transmission range
The radio signals are designed to have a range of 80 meters under optimum
conditions.
The following conditions may result in a reduced range:
-
Signal transmission through building structures or vegetation
-
Interference from TVs, computer screens and mobile phones. Under certain circumstances, this may prevent the receiver from functioning at all.
-
Positioning of the transmitter at an unfavourable distance from surfaces which reflect radio waves, for example floors and walls.
This may lead to the signal wave being weakened or even cancelled out by the reflected wave. -
Metallic objects reduce the range due to the shielding effect of the metal.
-
Particularly in towns and cities, there may be many other sources of radio waves which can disrupt the original signal.
-
Having units operating at similar frequencies located close to one another may also result in mutual interference.
Setting the correct radio channel
A special digital transmission process ensures that the radio signals are
picked up without errors. This process also makes it possible to set 10
different radio channels.
When supplied from the factory, all RF blink lamps are set to channel 0.
It is only necessary to set units to other channels
if you have several different users operating units in the same building. Set
the required channel by using a small screwdriver to turn the channel selector
switch, which is located towards the top of the battery compartment to the
required channel number.
All transmitters and receivers must be set to the same channel!

Warnings for rechargeable batteries
Only use the specified NiMh-rechargeable battery type AAA (HR03) !
There is a risk of explosion if the wrong type of rechargeable batteries are
used. The rechargeable batteries must not be exposed to high or low extreme
temperatures and low air pressure during use, storage or transport at high
altitude.
Disposing of rechargeable batteries in fires, ovens or mechanically crushing
and cutting them can cause fires or explosions. Exposing rechargeable
batteries to extremely high temperatures may cause an explosion or leakage of
flammable liquid or gas.
Rechargeable batteries exposed to extremely low air pressure may explode or
emit flammable liquid or gas.
Use only the original type power supply with the alarm clock.
