Sense M 4201 installation manual
A sensor and a magnet
The magnetic sensor Sense M 4201 is shipped with a corresponding MAG L 0001.
To work correctly it is important that both sensor and the magnet are
positioned precisely.
If they are not correctly aligned the closed state will never be detected. The
sensor can be glued to any flat surface. This is a permanent solution.
Sensolus recommends the use of Sabatack 780 or Tech 7 to glue materials.
We recommend that the head of the screw does not protrude when you fasten the magnet with screws. The magnet can be glued to any flat surface. Use glue when drilling holes is difficult.
Advice for the magnet and sensor setup
Sensor orientation
The sensor can be turned around it’s central axis, this will have no impact on
the working of the sensor.
Front facing installation is recommended
The recommended installation is the magnet frontal facing the sensor with
no distance between them. This means sensor and magnet touch each other to
detect the ‘closed’ status.
The maximum distance between the sensor and the magnet to still detect the
‘closed’ status is 5 mm. Installation on brackets might be needed to create a
perfect installation. Side by side installation
When installing the sensor and magnet side by side they have to touch each
other to detect the ‘closed’ status.
No distance between sensor and magnet is accepted to ensure proper
functioning.
90° angle installation
When installing the sensor and magnet at an angle of 90(degrees sign) they
have to touch each other to detect the ‘closed’ status. No distance between
sensor and magnet is accepted to ensure proper functioning.
