sensolus TRACK 1000 Battery Replacement

TRACK 1000 Product Information

The TRACK 1000 is an asset tracker that provides information on the movement and GPS location of your assets. It comes with a replaceable battery and has a green light on the front that rapidly flashes to indicate activity. The Sensolus Platform is used to view the information provided by the tracker. This platform requires Sigfox communication network coverage to function.

TRACK 1000 Battery Replacement Instructions

  1. Remove the 6 screws from the back of the tracker case and carefully open it.
  2. If using a power drill, use power setting 7 on low to remove the screws. Note that not all power drills have the same settings.
  3. Remove the old batteries and connector from the holder.
  4. Place the chip in the holder with the connector facing towards it.
  5. Insert new batteries, ensuring they are positioned in the center on top of the sponge and not too high or too low.
  6. Ensure the connector is inside the holder and that the cable is tucked to the left-hand side.
  7. Check that the seal on the back of the tracker is completely flat and intact.
  8. Close the case and tighten the 6 screws in their corresponding holes. Be careful not to break the casing when using a power drill.
  9. The green light on the front of the tracker will rapidly flash green, indicating that it is active and sending activity and GPS location information to the Sensolus Platform.
  • Step 1

    • Make sure that the serial number and logo are facing the right way up.
    • Then turn the tracker face down.
    • Unscrew the 6 screws.
      Tip : If using a power drill, use power setting 7, on low.
      ( Note : not all power drills have the same settings!)
  • Step 2
    Remove the back plate and the 6 screws

  • Step 3
    Remove the batteries – pull them out of the connector.
    Tip : place a finger on the sponge to hold it in placesensolus-

  • Step 4
    Place the chip so the connector is towards the holder.

  • Step 5
    Insert new batteries. Position the new batteries and make sure the batteries are in the center (on top of the sponge)  not too low or too high

  • Step 6
    Make sure the connector is inside the holder and that the cable is tucked to the left-hand side.sensolus-TRACK-1000-Battery-Replacement-

  • Step 7
    Make sure that the seal is completely flat/intact on the back of the tracker.

  • Step 8
    Close the case again by tightening the 6 screws in the corresponding holes. Be careful not to break the casing when using a power drill.

  • Step 9
    The green light on the front of the tracker will rapidly flash green. From this moment, your asset tracker will start sending activity (movement) and GPS location. Indicate Battery Replacement in Sensolus Platform

After replacing the battery in your TRACK 1000 tracker, it is important to indicate the replacement in the Sensolus Platform. This ensures that accurate information is provided by the tracker and can be viewed on the platform. To indicate battery replacement, log in to the Sensolus Platform and follow the relevant prompts. When you replaced the battery in the tracker you have to indicate thet in the platform.

  • Go to the tracker details page in the general section. You can search for this tracker or find in in the asset list or asset map.
  • Click on the replace battery link to indicate you have replaced the battery of that tracker.
  • Confirm the update.
