Product Information
The Surface Mount Fire Extinguisher Cabinet is designed to securely hold and protect fire extinguishers. It comes in two models, Model 670597, which fits 2 1/2 – 5 lb extinguishers, and Model 670598, which fits 10 lb extinguishers. The cabinet is equipped with a plexiglass window, a handle, a latch, sheet metal screws, and a safety label. It is important to note that mounting hardware such as wood screws, toggle bolts, and masonry anchors are not included.
Product Usage Instructions
- Attach the handle to the door using two flat-end screws and a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Attach the latch to the inside of the door using two self-drilling screws.
- Remove the protective film from the plexiglass window and place it on the inside of the door. Fold the sheet metal mounting clips over the window.
- Place the safety label on the front face of the door, under the handle.
- Mount the cabinet on a wall or other suitable surface using appropriate mounting hardware such as wood screws, toggle bolts, or masonry anchors. Ensure that the cabinet is mounted securely and leveled.
- Insert the fire extinguisher into the cabinet, ensuring that it is properly secured.
It is important to regularly inspect the cabinet and fire extinguisher to ensure that they are in good working condition and ready for use in case of an emergency.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Using a Phillips head screwdriver, attach the handle to the door using two flat-end screws.

Attach the latch to the inside of the door using two self-drilling screws.
Remove the protective film from the plexiglass window and place it on the inside of the door. Fold the sheet metal mounting clips over the window. -
Place the safety label on the front face of the door, under the handle. Figures:
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
- For wall studs, use #10 x 1 1/4″ wood screws
- For sheetrock, mount a 3/4″ wooden board (not included) to the wall first using 3/16″ toggle bolts. Make sure the board extends at least 2″ beyond all sides of the cabinet. Mount the cabinet to the board using #10 x 1″ wood screws.
- For cinderblock or cement, use 1/4″ toggle bolts or #10 masonry lead screw expansion anchors
- For concrete or tile wall, use #10 masonry lead screw expansion anchors.
NOTE:
Wood screws, toggle bolts, masonry anchors and other mounting hardware not
included.
