Operations
- Press Power/ORIGIN: short press the key to switch the unit on or off; long press (3 seconds) to set an Origin Zero.
- The gauge will auto-power off within 3~5 minutes of non-usage.
- Press the mm/in key to select the desired measurement unit.
- Press the HOLD key to hold the measurement reading.
- Press the INC key to set an increment zero, and “INC” will display on the LCD. Press the 0 key for 3 seconds to disable the function.
- Press SET to active Preset function. This can be useful for inside measurement settings (0.8”) or to set a custom value.
To set a Preset value: Long press (3 seconds) SET, and “P” will flash on the
LCD. Long press SET again, a number digit will flash; short press SET to
change value from 0 to 9; Long press SET to move to the next digit. When
finished, press SET to complete the set, and “P” will flash. Short press SET
to display configured value; “P” will show on LCD. Short press SET to exit the
function; “P” will disappear. The preset function cannot be active when the
“INC” (increment zero) function is activated.
Battery: When the battery sign starts flashing or no display, a new battery is
needed. Remove the old battery by removing the battery cover and the rubber
insert; pull up the battery tipper to remove the battery (do NOT remove the
battery tipper, it is NOT a battery insulator). Install a new 3V CR2032
battery with the “+” side facing up. Please responsibly recycle the used
battery. Power on the gauge and follow the instructions to reset zero. Press
the DATA key to export measurement value to an external device (optional).
Precautions
- Do not expose the instruments to direct sunlight or cold temperatures.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the periper for an extended period.
- Avoid exposure to electromagnetic fields.
- Avoid exposure to all liquids and excessive humidity.
