APPLICATION

This multimedia speaker pair is primarily recommended for home or office use. It is perfectly suited for connection to a computer, tablet or mobile phone. With wired connection to a computer, you can still listen to your mobile phone via wireless BT connection. The unit has constantly changing lights effect.
POWER SUPPLY
Connect the USB cable to a computer or a mains USB adapter (not included). Recommended mains charger option: SA 24USB, SA 50USB. The rated current consumption of this product is ~0.5A. Usually, it can be operated from any USB port of any PC.

  • USB sockets on computers and various devices have different charging parameters. Check the specifications of the charger or USB socket before connecting. Maximum values in general: USB2.0: 500 mA, USB3.0, 3.1: 900 mA, USB-C: 1.5A/3.0A

COMMISSIONING
Make sure that the unit is disconnected from the mains when making connections. Switch off both the sound box and the device to be connected via the AUX socket. Make sure that the connectors have correct wiring and polarity. Keep the audio cable away from power cords. Set the volume control on the cable to medium volume. The speaker pair turns on (“POWER ON”) when it receives power via USB. When turned on, the AUX mode (wired input) is activated. You can start listening to the device connected with the 3.5mm stereo jack.

  •  The speaker with the label on its back is the right channel, so place it on your right. For example, you can put it next to the right side of the monitor and the other speaker on its left side. This will make the stereo surround effect perfect. The two speakers should be up to ~0.8 metre apart.

VOLUME CONTROL AND FUNCTION SWITCHING
You can adjust the volume using the rotary knob on the cable. The availability of the BT function is subject to the availability of e.g., a cell phone via wireless connection. A voice announcement informs you about the current mode. The wired AUX input and the wireless BT connection enables to connect two different devices at the same time. It is best to connect your computer via wired and your mobile phone via wireless connection. When you turn the unit on, the AUX mode is active. If you connect an external device via wireless BT connection, it will switch from AUX to BT mode. If you turn off BT mode on your phone, the AUX mode will be active again.

  • The sound quality depends on the quality of the audio signal received from by the external device and its volume and tone settings.
  • If the sound box receives weak signal (low volume), it may cause extra noise, while a too large signal may cause distortion. It is recommended to keep the volume of the source at medium level.
  • To make the appropriate connection, you may need to buy a connection cable or, in some cases, an external adapter. For more information, see the user guide of the device you want to connect.

AUX WIRED MODE
You can use a ø3.5mm stereo jack to receive the headphone or LINE OUT output of an external device. If you set up for example a PC, multimedia player, musical instrument, CD/DVD player, mobile phone, tablet…, the AUX mode will be enabled. (BT mode has priority over AUX mode when activated.)

  • In AUX mode, you need to find the tone settings in your computer’s settings. You may want to install an appropriate program for better sound.
  • Note that different signal sources and volume levels may require different settings. Otherwise, the sound quality may deteriorate. Always find the best volume and tone settings for the current program.

WIRELESS BT CONNECTION

Within a maximum range of 10 meters, the unit can be paired with other equipment communicating according to the BT protocol. After pairing, you can listen to music played on your mobile phone, tablet, notebook or other similar device. The BT function is activated after pairing the speaker box and the playback device. Place the device to be paired in the vicinity of the unit, and find nearby wireless BT devices, including this sound box, as described in its operating manual. Connect the two devices. Successful connection (“CONNECTED”) is confirmed by an acoustic signal. Then you can listen to the desired program via the speakers. To return to AUX mode, disable the BT connection (“DISCONNECTED”).

  • In BT mode, correctly setting the volume and tone on the mobile phone is important for good sound quality. You can choose from countless equalizer applications for free.
  • One sound box can be paired with one BT signal source at a time.
  • If the wireless connection is lost, turn BT mode off and back on if necessary on your mobile device. Alternatively, you can also disconnect and reconnect the speaker.
  • If you receive a phone call to the connected mobile phone while listening to music, the music will pause. After your conversation, restart playback if it does not resume automatically.
  • The actual range depends on the other device and the environmental conditions (e.g., walls, human bodies, other electrical appliances, motion…)
  • Electrical devices operated nearby may cause abnormal operation or noise; this does not indicate a malfunction of the sound box!

LED LIGHT EFFECT

An RGB LED light effect is activated when the sound box is switched on. Colours change continuously as long as the power supply is available.
