Description and function

Product

The product is a satellite finder and is used to align your satellite antennas for optimal reception. The signal strength of the satelli- te is shown in the display and an acoustic signal is also genera- ted, which becomes louder the stronger the signal is. The model 67000 has an illuminated analogue display. Model 67140 has an illuminated digital display

Connection and operation

See Fig. 2.

Connection and operation

  1. Connect your LNB to the F connector female (LNB) (1) of the satellite finder using a coaxial cable.

  2. Connect the input of your receiver to the F connector female (SAT receiver) (3) of the satellite finder using a coaxial cable.

  3. Switch on the SAT receiver. The satellite finder is supplied with power via the receiver and switches on automatically.

  4. Align your satellite dish to the approximate azimuth angle (ho- rizontal angle) and the approximate elevation angle (vertical angle).

  5. 67140 only: Turn the volume control knob (14) fully up and press the Light button (10) to switch the illumination of the digital display (8) on or off.

  6. Slowly move the satellite dish in the horizontal and vertical angle to increase the signal. The higher the indicator, the better the signal. If the display shows a full deflection, reduce the signal strength.

  7. 67000: Turn the signal strength control knob (6) counterclockwise to reduce the input signal.
67140: Press the ◄ ATT button (9) to reduce the input signal.

  8. Again move the satellite dish slowly in the horizontal and vertical angle to increase the signal. If the input signal is too weak in all positions, you can also increase the signal strength.

  9. 67000: Turn the signal strength control knob (6) clockwise to
increase the input signal. 67140: Press the ► ATT button (13) to increase the input signal.

  10. Disconnect the satellite finder from the LNB and SAT receiver when you are satisfied with the settings.
