Product Information
- The TORCIA is an electronic hand lamp with a high-efficiency LED.
- It operates on a supply voltage of 230 V~ 50-60 Hz.
- It has an automatic emergency device.
- The TORCIA contains a replaceable rechargeable Ni-MH battery that provides 2 hours of operating battery.

Product Usage Instructions
- To change the battery, open the TORCIA and replace the Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) element VIMAR 00910 as shown in figures 5, 6 and 7 of the user manual.
- When replacing the battery, make sure not to reverse the polarity of the connector (figure 7).
- Dispose of the worn-out battery in specific differentiated collection bins to comply with environmental regulations.
- Before using TORCIA, charge the battery by plugging it into a fixed socket outlet for recharge (1).
- Switch on TORCIA using the slide switch (3) on the side of the product.
- The blue LED light (4) indicates that TORCIA is on and functioning properly.
- When TORCIA is not in use, switch it off to conserve battery power.

HOW TO USE
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Replaceable rechargeable Ni-MH battery with 4 elements 4.8 V 80 mAh.
- Battery charging time: 48 h for full charge.
- Operating time after charging: approx. 2 h.
- Photobiological risk: exempt.
- High-efficiency white LED and integral narrow angle lens; the direct current supply makes the LED always have the same brightness for the entire duration of the charge (approxi-mately 2 hours).
- Slide switch to turn the TORCIA on and off when it is used as a hand lamp or to turn the auxiliary lighting function on and off (figure 1).
- Blue LED to indicate the auxiliary lighting function status (figure 1).
- Anti-removal lock with the screw provided: the screw must be positioned from the back of the charger socket and screwed fully in (figure 3).
- Installation in accordance with the wiring diagram shown in figure 4.
OPERATION
The electronic TORCIA, inserted in the charger socket, also performs the function of aux-iliary lighting in the event of a power failure. Charging can take place as follows:
- Charging with auxiliary lighting function turned off. Switch in position “0” and blue LED off: with no mains power the TORCIA will remain switched off.
- Charging with auxiliary lighting function turned on. Switch in position “I” and blue LED on: with no mains power the TORCIA will switch on and, when power comes back on, it will automatically switch off.
If the system is turned off for a long period, move the slide switch into
position “0” to prevent the TORCIA from discharging due to a lack of power.
The TORCIA is removed from the charger socket as follows:
- remove the TORCIA by hand (fig. 2).
CHANGING THE BATTERY.
The TORCIA contains 1 Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) element VIMAR 00910; proceed
as shown in figures 5, 6 and 7 to replace it, taking care not to reverse the
polarity of the con-nector (figure 7).
WARNING: Dispose of batteries in the specific differentiated collection bins.
INSTALLATION RULES.
The appliance must be installed in flush or surface mounting boxes with Arkè
mounting frames and cover plates.
Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with
the current regulations regarding the installation of electrical equipment in
the country where the products are installed.

WEEE – Information for users
If the crossed-out bin symbol appears on the equipment or packaging, this
means the product must not be included with other general waste at the end of
its working life. The user must take the worn product to a sorted waste
center, or return it to the retailer when purchasing a new one. Products for
disposal can be consigned free of charge (without any new purchase obligation)
to retailers with a sales area of at least 400 m2, if they measure less than
25 cm. An efficient sorted waste collection for the environmentally friendly
disposal of the used device, or its subsequent recycling, helps avoid the
potential negative effects on the environment and people’s health, and
encourages the re-use and/or recycling of the construction materials.
