Important Notes before Mounting

  • Avoid aiming the sensor at anything other than the water surface, including the pump in the basin, the walls of the basin, equipment in the basin, and the discharge tube.

The sensor should be positioned as low  in the basin as possible, but above the highest safe water level. The highest safe water level will be above any equipment and the reach of any float.
Using the two Zip Ties (D), loosely fasten the Sensor (C) to the vertical discharge tube as depicted. If a vertical discharge tube is not available, mount with 4 zip ties as depicted.
Do not fasten the zip ties completely.

When prompted via the app on your smartphone, confirm the approxi-mate distance between the bottom of the Sensor (C) and the water level, using a tape measure.
Note: If the app indicates a significantly different distance than you measured, try repositioning the sensor, since it may be detecting an object in the basin. After confirming the position of the Sensor (C), tighten the Zip Ties (D)

Put the basin lid back in place, with the sensor cable routed next to the sump pump cable. (If basin lid was present.) Fasten the basin lid into place with the previously removed screws or bolts (if they were present).
