Thank you for purchasing a SIGURO appliance. We are grateful for your trust and we are pleased to introduce the device to you on the following pages and acquaint you with all its functions and uses.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  1. This appliance is intended for use by children 8 years of age and olde  and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe manner and understand the potential hazards. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be done by children without supervision.
  2. Before connecting the appliance to power, make sure that the technical data on the rating plate of the appliance correspond to the voltage of the electrical outlet.
  3. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by a qualified service centre in order to avoid a hazardous situation. It is forbidden to use the appliance with a damaged power cord.
  4. This appliance is intended for use in the home and similar spaces, such as:
    • kitchenettes in shops, offices and other workplaces;
    • appliances used by guests in hotels, motels and other residential environments;
    • appliances used in bed and breakfast establishments;
    • appliances used in catering and similar non- sales environments.
  5. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  6. Fill the appliance with potable water only.
  7. Do not use mechanical devices or means other than those recommended by the manufacturer to speed up the defrosting process.
  8. Protect the cooling circuit from damage.
  9. Do not insert explosive substances, such as flammable propellant sprays, into the appliance.
  10. Keep this appliance away from heat sources such as cookers, ovens or heaters. Protect it from direct sunlight.
  11. Do not use the appliance in a room with high humidity.
  12. Make sure that the appliance is placed in a vertical position on a flat surface and that there is a gap of at least 15 centimetres between the appliance and other adjacent objects and walls to allow adequate ventilation.
  13. Do not cover the ventilation openings. Do not move or cover the appliance during operation.
  14. Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
  15. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance must not be exposed to rain.
  16. When placing the appliance, make sure that the power cord is not caught or damaged.
  17. Do not place multiple portable outlets or portable extension cords on the back of the appliance.
  18. The manufacturer declines any liability for damage caused by improper use or failure to follow the instructions in this manual. Improper use or non‑compliance with the instructions will void the warranty

This appliance contains approx. 23 g of R600a refrigerant gas. It is a refrigerant that complies with European environmental regulations, but is highly flammable. Risk of explosion or fire When the appliance has reached the end of its service life, dispose of it according to local regulations regarding appliances containing flammable gas.

USE

Before first use

  • Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.

  • Clean the appliance according to the instructions in the section Cleaning and maintenance.

  • Fill the water tank with fresh, clean and potable water at room temperature up to the MAX mark. The water in the tank should not reach the ice basket.
    Note: We recommend discarding ice cubes prepared during the first two cycles for hygienic reasons.

  • Plug the ice maker in the electrical outlet. The POWER indicator starts flashing.

Description and operation of the control panel
Description

The control panel includes two buttons that are used to operate the ice maker:

Button for switching on / off the ice maker. After the ice production is completed (after all the water in the tank has been used up), a new ice production cycle can be started with this button.

Button for setting the size of ice cubes and selecting the cleaning function.

Next, the panel contains 6 indicators whose meaning is as follow

S Small ice cubes.
L Large ice cubes.
CLEAN Cleaning function.
POWER Power/Operation indicator.
ADD WATER Empty water tank indicator.
ICE FULL Ice cube tray full indicator

Ice cubes production

  • Press the button . POWER indicator will be continuously lit.
  • Use the SELECT button to set the required size of the ice cubes: small (S) or large (L) cubes.
  • The ice cubes production will start automatically. Depending on the ambient temperature, it will take approximately 7-15 minutes to fill the ice cube tray. Once the ice cube basket fills up, the indicator ICE FULL lights up.
  • Collect the produced ice cubes using the included small shovel.
  • After emptying the ice cube basket, the next ice cube production cycle will start automatically
  • If the indicator ADD WATER comes on, it means that the water tank is empty.
  • In this case, remove the ice cube basket and add water to the tank. Then press the button .
  • The new ice cube production cycle will start automatically in approximately 20 minutes after water replenishment.
  • You can always stop the ice cube production by pressing the button.
  • Regularly change water in the water tank. Do not leave water in the water tank longer than 24 hours.
  • After finishing the production cycle, leave the lid open. This will prevent the formation of unpleasant odour, or the formation and spread of undesirable mould or bacteria.
  • The ice will last inside the ice maker for several hours (depending on the room temperature up to 18 hours). However, we recommend transferring the produced ice to a freezer. Store the ice only in a freezer.

CLENING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning the appliance, switch it off and unplug it. Do not clean the appliance with scouring pads, caustic or corrosive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as alcohol, gasoline or acetone.

  • Clean the appliance using soft wet cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water, clean it under running water or wash it in the dishwasher.

Cleaning the ice cubes basket
Clean the basket with lukewarm water and liquid dish washing detergent, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

Cleaning the water tank
Use the drain on the bottom of the appliance and the CLEAN function to empty the water tank.

  1. Make sure that the drain on the bottom of the appliance is firmly closed.
  2. Fill the tank with clean water up to the MAX line.
  3. Turn on the appliance and use the SELECT button to select the CLEAN function. Then press the button .
  4. The pump starts and starts rinsing the water tank. The whole process lasts about 6 minutes .
  5. After the rinsing is finished, place a large enough container under the drain opening, unscrew the drain and let all the water drain.
  6. After cleaning, make sure that the drain is carefully closed again.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Situation Solution
The POWER indicator does not light up after it’s plugged in.
  • Check if there is voltage in the electrical outlet where you plugged the appliance in.
  • Check if the plug correctly inserted in the outlet.
  • A defect occurred in the internal part of the appliance. Contact your vendor or a service centre

The indicator ICE FULL is on.| The ice cube basket is full. Remove the ice from the baske
The indicator ADD WATER is on.| Fill with water up to the MAX mark and press the button
The ice maker seems to work, but no ice cubes are made.|

  • It is possible that the ambient temperature is too high. Operate the ice maker at a temperature between 10 and 32° C.
  • The water in the water tank is too warm. Fill the tank with colder water with a temperature between 8 and 28° C
