USING THE SCALE BATTERY INSTALLATION

To avoid personal injury or damage to the unit, prevent the batteries from leaking and follow the instructions below:

  • use only the «AAA» battery in the kitchen scale;

  • insert the battery strictly following the polarity;

  • timely replace the batteries; do not use old and new batteries at the same time;

  • do not recharge the battery;

  •  if the kitchen scale is not used for a long time, remove the battery from the battery compartment;

  • hand the discharged battery over to a specialized collection point for its further disposal.

  • Open the battery compartment lid (5) and insert a «CR-2032» battery (supplied with the unit), strictly following the polarity.

  • Install the battery compartment lid (5) back to its place.

Notes: If there is an isolation insert, open the battery compartment lid (5), remove the isolation insert and install the battery compartment lid (5) back to its place.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

  • When the battery is low, the symbol « » will appear on the display (4).
  • Before the scale switch off due to the low battery, the symbol «LO» will appear on the display (4). Open the battery compartment lid (5), replace the discharged battery with a new «AAA» battery, strictly following the polarity, close the battery compartment lid (5).
  • If the kitchen scale is not used for a long time, remove the battery from the battery compartment.

SWITCHING THE KITCHEN SCALE ON

  • Place the kitchen scale on a flat, dry and stable

  • surface.
    Avoid exposing the infrared sensors (3) to sunlight to avoid false alarms.

  • Position your hand on the platform for weighing (1), as shown in the picture 2, make a quick movement of the hand towards the infrared sensors (3), then return the hand to its original position, the scale will switch on, the display (4) will show the weight symbol (7) «0», will display the symbol of weighing units (8) «g», also the ready-to-weigh symbol (9) « ».

MEASUREMENT UNITS SELECTION

  • Switch the kitchen scale on (pic. 2).
  • To select weight measurement units, place the palm of your hand vertically as shown in the picture 3, slide your palm up/down against the infrared sensors (3), and the display (4) will show the following weighing units (8) (pic. 1):
    • «g» – weight of product(s) in grams;
    • «oz» – weight of product(s) in ounces;
    • «lb oz» – weight of product(s) in pounds and ounces;
    • «ml» – water volume in milliliters, the symbol (12) « » will appear;
    • «fl oz» – water volume in liquid pounds and ounces, the symbol (12) « » will appear;
    • «ml» – milk volume in milliliters, the symbol (13) « » will appear;
    • «fl oz» – milk volume in liquid pounds and ounces, the symbol (13) « » will appear;

Notes:

  • water can have different densities, measuring of water volume is based on average water density values stored in the scale memory and can differ from the real values.
  • milk has different percentages of fat, the volume of milk is calculated based on the average fat content stored in the scales memory, so the calculated milk volume readings may slightly differ from the actual values.

WEIGHT MEASUREMENT

  • Switch the kitchen scale (pic. 2)on and select the weight measurement units (pic. 3).
  • If the indications on the display (4) are not zero, put the palm of your hand to the infrared sensors (3), the weight indications (7) will reset to «0» (pic. 5).
  • Place the ingredient(s) on the weighing platform (1) and the display (4) will show the weight of the ingredient(s) in digital symbols (7), depending on the selected measurement units (8).
  • To weigh liquids or granular products, place a suitable container (pic. 4) on the weighing platform (4 1), then set the container weight to zero by putting the palm of your hand to the infrared sensors (3) (pic. 5), the display (3 4) will show the tare symbol (8 10) «TARE» and the weight indications (7) will reset to «0».
  • Put the ingredient(s) in the container and the display (4) will show the weight of the ingredient(s) in digital symbols (7), depending on the selected measurement units (8).
