SAFETY MEASURES AND OPERATION RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Read the operation manual carefully before using the hair clipper set; after reading, keep it for future reference.

  • Use the hair clipper as intended, as it is stated in this manual.

  • Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to the user’s property, which is not covered by warranty.

  • This hair clipper set is intended for household use only and not for professional use.

  • Use the hair clipper only for cutting dry natural human hair.

  • Do not use the hair clipper for cutting artificial wigs or animal hair.

  • Make sure that the operating voltage of the unit indicated on the label corresponds to your home mains voltage.

  • Provide that the power cord does not touch hot objects and surfaces and sharp edges of furniture.
    Do not immerse it into water or use as a carrying handle.

  • Do not use the hair clipper next to a kitchen sink, in bathrooms, near swimming pools or other containers filled with water.

  • If the unit is dropped into water, unplug it immediately, and only then you can take the hair clipper out of water. Apply to the service center for testing or repairing the unit.

  • To unplug the unit do not pull the power cord, take the power cord plug directly and disconnect it from the mains.

  • Do not use the unit outdoors.

  • Do not use the unit in places with high temperature and relative humidity more than 80%.

  • It is recommended not to use the unit during lightning storms.

  • Protect the unit from impacts, falling, vibrations and other mechanical stress.

  • Do not use the unit near heating appliances, heat sources or open flame.

  • Do not use the unit in places where aerosols are used or sprayed, and in proximity to inflammable liquids.

  • Use only the attachment combs supplied with the unit.

  • Before the operation make sure that the blade block and the attachment comb are installed properly.

  • Do not use the hair clipper if the blades or attachment combs are damaged.

  • Switch the hair clipper off before installing or removing the attachment combs or the blade block.

  • Keep the blades clean and lubricated.

  • Clean the cut hair off the blade block and the attachment comb with the brush after each use.

  • Always switch the hair clipper off when you do not use it.

  • Do not leave the operating unit unattended.

  • Clean the unit regularly.

  • Always unplug the clipper after you finish using it.

  • For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags, used as a packaging, unattended and within reach of children.
    ATTENTION!
    Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suffocation!

  • The hair clipper is not intended for usage by children.

  • Do not leave children unattended to prevent using the unit as a toy.

  • Do not allow children to touch the blades or the body of the clipper while the clipper is running.

  • Be especially careful if children or disabled persons are near the operating unit.

  • During the unit operation and breaks between operation cycles, place the unit out of reach of children.

  • The unit is not intended to be used by people with physical, sensory or mental disabilities (including children) or by persons lacking experience or knowledge if they are not under supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety or if they are not instructed by this person on the usage of the unit.

  • From time to time check the power cord integrity.

  • If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, a maintenance service or similar qualified personnel to avoid danger.

  • Do not repair the unit by yourself. Do not dismantle the unit by yourself. If any malfunction is detected, and after the unit was dropped, unplug it and apply to the service center.

  • To avoid damages, transport the unit in the original package.

  • Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.

THE UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY, DO NOT USE THE UNIT FOR COMMERCIAL OR LABORATORY PURPOSES.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

After the unit’s transportation or storage at negative temperature, unpack it and wait for 3 hours before using it.

  • Unpack the unit and remove all the packaging materials.
  • Keep the original package.
  • Read the safety measures and operating recommendations.
  • Check the delivery set.
  • Examine the unit for damages, in case of damage do not plug it into the mains.
  • Make sure that specified specifications of power supply voltage of the power adapter correspond to the specifications of your mains. When the unit is used in the mains with 60 Hz frequency, it does not need any additional settings.

BLADES (1,2)

  • Blades (1, 2) are consumable and they are not covered by warranty.
  • The consumer should check the condition of the cutting edges of the blades (1, 2) by himself, as sharpening (polishing) of cutting edges is not covered by warranty.

Checking the correct installation of the blades.

  • Before cutting, make sure that the blades are positioned correctly, the lower blade (1) should protrude 1.2 mm relative to the upper blade (2) (fig. 1).

  • Loosen the mounting screws of the lower blade (1) and align the blade (1), tighten the mounting screws (fig. 2).

BLADES LUBRICATING

  • Clean the blades off cut hair and lubricate it after every use. It is also recommended to lubricate the blades (1,2) before using the hair clipper.

  • Detachable blade block (6) is consumable and is not covered by the warranty.

  • Clean the blade block (6) off cut hair and lubricate it after every use. It is also recommended to lubricate the blade block (6) before using the hair clipper.

  • For lubricating the blades use the oil (14), supplied with the unit, or the oil intended for similar devices.

  • Do not use vegetable oil or oil that contains solvents.
    Solvents will evaporate, and the remaining thick oil may slow down the blades motion.

  • To remove the blade block place the hair clipper with the blades towards you and press on the upper edge of the blade block (6) with your thumb (pic. 6).

  • Apply the lubricating oil (14) to the junctions between the fixed and moving parts of the blades (pic. 2).

  • Install the blade block (6) back to its place. To do this, first insert its lower part to the installation place and then press on the upper edge of the blade block (6). Make sure that the blade block (6) is installed and fixed properly (pic. 9).

  • Switch the hair clipper on by moving the switch (5) to the position «I» and let it operate for approximately 30 seconds to spread the oil across the rubbing surfaces of the blades.

  • Switch the hair clipper off by moving the switch (5) to the position «0» and remove the excessive oil with a paper towel or a dry cloth.

INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE ATTACHMENT COMB

  • Install one of the combs (8, 9, 10 or 11) on the blades (1,2) (fig.4)

  • Install one of the combs (8, 9, 10 or 11) on the blades, teeth up, and press the ledge in the bottom part of the attachment until locking. Before starting the haircut, make sure that the attachment is securely fixed. To remove the attachment comb (8, 9, 10 or 11), press the latch and remove the attachment.

ADJUSTABLE BLADE SHIFTER

  • During a haircut without attachment combs (8, 9, 10 or 11), you can also move the blade (2) by adjusting the length of the hair left.
  • In the upper shifter (3) position haircut will be the shortest.
  • In the lower shifter (3) position, the cutting length is approximately the same as when using 3 mm attachment comb (8).
  • During the haircut you can change the position of the regulator (3), and set the required length of the hair to be left.
  • If hair is jammed in the blades (1, 2) while cutting, use the blade regulator (3), to release the jammed hair you need to move the regulator (3) from the upper position to the lower position several times, or vice versa, this will help release the jammed hair without removing the blades (1).

HAIR STYLING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Before cutting hair switch the hair clipper on and make sure that hair clipper operates normally and the blades move smoothly. If there is excess oil on the blades (1, 2), wipe it with a paper towel or a dry cloth.
  • Seat the person whose hair you cut so that his/her head is approximately at your chest level.
  • For the best results, cut dry hair. Do not cut
  • freshly washed hair, dry them with a towel and blow dry.
  • Comb the hair along the direction of hair growth.
  • Always move the hair clipper against the direction of the hair growth. You can cut hair along the direction of hair growth, but keep in mind that the hair cut against the growth will be shorter than the hair cut along the growth.
  • Move the hair clipper slowly during cutting hair.

USING THE ATTACHMENT COMBS

  • The hair clipper set includes the attachment combs (8, 9, 10, 11) intended for various remaining hair length:

    • (8) — 3 mm
    • (9) — 6 mm
    • (10) — 9 mm
    • (11) — 12 mm
  • Figure (6) shows which attachment combs are recommended for use on different areas of the hair on the head.

  • To learn your hair clipper, start cutting hair with the attachment comb with a maximum remaining hair length (11) — 12 mm.

  • After learning the hair clipper better you will be able to use the attachment combs which leave shorter hair.

  • For even haircut make sure that the attachment comb fits closely to the head.

  • Slowly run the hair clipper through the hair, moving it in different directions, make overlapping movements to make sure that all areas of the hair on the head are trimmed.

  • Comb the hair along the direction of the growth to make it easier to cut them with the clipper.

  • For even haircut of wavy, thin or long hair, use the comb to direct the hair to the blade block (1, 2).

  • From time to time clean the attachment comb from cut hair with the brush (13).

  • Install the attachment comb (9 or 10). Switch the hair clipper on by moving the switch (5) to the position «I». Hold the hair clipper with the blades pointed upwards. Start cutting from the hair growth edge. Slowly move the hair clipper upwards. Cut the back of the head area at the bottom and near the ears.

  • Switch the hair clipper off, then set the attachment comb (11), switch the hair clipper on and continue cutting hair near top of the head.

  • Switch the hair clipper off, set the attachment comb (8 or 9) for shorter hair and cut hair on the temples. Switch the hair clipper off, then set the attachment comb (10 or 11), switch the hair clipper on and continue cutting hair towards the top of the head.

  • Cut the hair from the top of the head towards the crown against the hair growth direction.
  • Use the attachments (8 or 9) for short haircut (3-6 mm). To leave slightly longer hair use the attachments (10 or 11) (9-12 mm).
  • To leave longer hair, take hair locks between your fingers and cut it using the hair clipper. Lift the hair locks with the comb and cut them along the comb.
  • Comb the hair to reveal uneven locks.

  • In the final stage of hair styling remove the installed attachment comb (8, 9, 10, 11) from the clipper, turn the blades of the clipper towards the hair and trim hair on the temples and neck carefully. Before creating the contour, comb the hair above ears. Slightly bend back the person’s ear so it will not get in the way of cutting hair. Do not press the clipper strongly, there is danger of injuries or cuts when open blades come in contact with skin.

  • Note: without using the attachment combs (8, 9, 10 or 11) for a short haircut you can change the remaining hair length up to 3 mm, to change the remaining hair length use the regulator (3) for the length of the hair to be left (fig. 5).

  • After you finish cutting hair, switch the hair clipper off by moving the switch (5) to the position «0».

  • Remove the installed attachment comb (fig. 4), clean it from the hair, clean the blades (1, 2), use a brush for cleaning (13).

  • Lubricate blades

CLEANING AND CARE

  • Turn off the hair clipper after using it by setting the power switch to the «0» position and unplug the power cord from the mains.
  • Remove the installed attachment comb (8, 9, 10 or 11) (pic. 4) and clean it from hair with the brush (13).
  • Clean the blade block (1, 2). Do not wash the blade block (1, 2) and the inner cavity of the hair clipper body under a water jet.
  • Clean the hair clipper body (4) with a soft, slightly damp cloth, and then wipe it dry.
  • Do not use abrasives or solvents to clean the hair clipper body (4), the power adapter (9) and the attachment combs (8, 9, 10, 11).
  • Do not immerse the hair clipper, the power cord and the power plug into water or any other liquids.
  • Lubricate the blade block (1, 2) after every use with the lubricating oil (12).

STORAGE

  • Before taking the hair clipper set away for storage, clean the hair clipper body, the blade block (6) and the attachment combs (8, 9, 10, 11).
  • Lubricate the blade block (1, 2) with lubricating oil (12).
  • Keep the hair clipper set in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.

For further information about recycling of this product apply to a local municipal administration, a disposal service or to the shop where you purchased this product.

The manufacturer preserves the right to change design and specifications which do not affect the principles of operation of the unit without a preliminary notification.

The manufacturing date is specified in the serial number.

In case of any malfunctions, it is necessary to apply promptly to the authorized service center.
