Product Usage Instructions
Assembly
- Turn the upper (A) and lower (B) bed base on its side.
- Place the 6 legs (C) in the provided holes and screw them clockwise securely.
- Unfold the metal bar on the upper bed base (A) and insert screw (G) through the hole. Place washers on both sides of the screw and in the middle of the metal bars. Use fixed wrenches (J) to fix the screw. Repeat for the opposite side.
- Fit the upper part of the bed base (A) with the lower part of the bed base (B). Secure by screwing the three levers (H) in the holes ainthe middle of the bed base. Place washers (I) on each side.
Battery Installation
Install the emergency battery (D) in the motor cavity (E) provided for
emergencies only. Do not use it as the main motor mechanism.
Attachment of Rods
Fit the rods (F). Insert the large one at the foot of the bed and the four
smaller ones at the desired heights on the sides of the bed.
Engine Installation
To install the engine (E), open the covers on the upper part, ensure the
correct position, and adjust if needed by pressing button 4.
FAQ
Q: Can I use the emergency battery as the main motor mechanism?
A: No, the emergency battery is for backup use in case of power failure only.
The PEPE Adjustable Bed Frame has been designed to facilitate care tasks in domestic environments. Its articulated bed base allows it to adapt to the patient’s needs, thus helping to alleviate and compensate for injuries, illnesses and/or disabilities. Materials: steel structure; wooden slats.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION
Turn the upper (A) and lower (B) bed bases on their side and place the 6 legs (C) in the holes provided for them by screwing them clockwise until they are securely fastened.
Unfold the metal bar located on the upper bed base (A) and insert the screw (G) through the hole by placing a washer on the side of the screw and another one in the middle of both metal bars. Place the nut and, with the help of the two fixed wrenches (J) fix the screw correctly. Repeat the same operation with the metal bar on the opposite side.
Fit the upper part of the bed base (A) with the lower part of the bed base (B) and fix it by screwing the three levers (H) in the three holes located in the middle of the bed base, to anchor the bed tightly. Place a washer (I) on each side.
Install the emergency battery (D) in the motor cavity (E) provided for this purpose. This battery serves as an emergency motor in case of power failure. Under no circumstances should it be used as the main motor mechanism.
Fit the rods (F). The large one into the holes at the foot of the bed and the other four smaller ones into the sides of the bed, at the height desired by the user.
MOTOR
To install the engine (E), first open the two covers located on the upper part by sliding them open, and make sure that the engine is in the position indicated to do so (image). If the motor is not in the correct position, press button 4 (page 6) on the knob to move it to the correct position.
Fit the engine recesses into the hooks located underneath the bed base and press them into place so that they are fully engaged. Make sure that the two circular protrusions of the motor are oriented towards the inside of the bed base.
Slide the corner sliding covers back into place so that they are fully engaged.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Connecting power supply: 100-240 Volt AC 50-60 Hz.
- The engine works with a DC voltage of 24 V DC.
- Maximum connection time: 10% with continuous operation is 2/18 minutes.
- The operating voltage for the hand switch is 24 V DC.
- Power required, depending on load and models: 30-300 W.
- Upper tilt angle: 70º.
- Lower tilt angle: 20º.
SAFETY WARNINGS
- If a dependent patient is using the bed, it should be left in its lowest position when the patient is unaccompanied to reduce the risk of injury from falls. KMINA cannot be held liable for any damage sustained due to failure to observe this warning.
- Improper handling of the motor power cord (kinks, cuts or other mechanical damage) may result in electrical hazards or cause the motor to cease operation. DO NOT USE the motor if you notice any of these malfunctions.
- If you use the bed in combination with another electronic device equipped with cables (heating pad, chargers, etc.), take precautions to prevent them from being caught by the moving parts of the bed.
- If you want to use a bed lift, check that the lift is compatible with the limited space between the bed and the floor.
- You must use this articulated bed for mattresses measuring 90×190 cm. KMINA cannot be held responsible for the risk of entrapment resulting from not respecting the mattress dimensions recommended in this manual.
- In case of emergency, press button 4 on the control (page 6) to return to the initial position.
- Do not exceed the maximum supported weight of the user, which is 265 lb.
- Keep animals and children away from the motor.
- This device may be used by children aged 8 years and older, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and understand the resulting dangers. Children may not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by unsupervised children.
- The motor may only be operated in dry locations.
- The drive system allows a maximum of 5 cycles per minute.
- Do not operate the motor continuously for more than 2 minutes, otherwise damage may occur, for which KMINA cannot be held responsible.
- The owner or user assumes full responsibility for the product when the motor fails and is improperly repaired.
- Repairs should only be carried out by authorized personnel.
- Make sure that the motor is firmly attached to the bed base before use.
- Check whether the motor specifications match those of your household (operating voltage).
- Do not sit or stand on the ends of the bed.
- Use the battery only in an emergency to return the bed to the lowered position. It is recommended that the battery be replaced after each emergency lowering or after 3 years at the latest, due to deterioration of the battery.
- The articulated bed is very heavy: 77 lb. Handle each part with care. Upper bed base weight: 27.5 lb. Weight of lower bed base: 30 lb.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean regularly by hand with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh detergents.
WARRANTY
KMINA warrants this device to be free from defects. The warranty shall remain valid for 3 years from the date of original purchase by the consumer. The warranty does not extend to parts exposed to natural wear and tear that require periodic replacement.
