Safety instructions

  • Please read the instructions carefully before using the unit and keep them for future reference. Should the unit be given to someone else, please include this user manual too.
  • Keep the iron and its cable out of the reach of children under 8 years of age when it is turned on or cooling down.
  • This unit may be used by children aged 8 years and above, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, and persons with no experience of using or knowledge of the unit, provided they are properly supervised or receive prior instruction regarding how to safely use the unit and understand the risks involved. Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the unit. User cleaning and maintenance operations must not be performed by unsupervised children.
  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its repair service or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent any risks.
  • Take care when pulling on this clothes steamer’s power plug.
  • Always unplug the steamer before attaching or detaching the fabric brush, in addition to filling, cleaning and descaling the unit.
  • The unit must be unplugged after use and before starting any user maintenance operations on the unit.
  • Read all the instructions carefully before using the portable steamer for the first time and save them for future reference.
  • All maintenance operations – except for cleaning – must be carried out by an authorised repair centre.
  • Remove and safely dispose of all packaging materials and promotional stickers before using the clothes steamer for the first time.
  • To eliminate the risk of suffocation for young children, remove and safely dispose of the protective cap found on this clothes steamer’s power plug.
  • Always make sure that the clothes steamer has been properly assembled before using it. Only use the accessories supplied and specified in this manual. Follow the instructions provided in this leaflet.
  • Do not use this unit outdoors or in a bathroom.
  •  Do not leave the unit unattended whilst plugged in or in use.
  • Whenever you do not plan on using the clothes steamer for an extended period of time, unplug it from the mains socket.
  • Let the clothes steamer cool completely before putting it away.
  • Always rest the clothes steamer on its base for storage purposes. Do not leave the garment steamer unattended whilst plugged in.
  • Do not put the clothes steamer away with water still remaining in the water tank. Always empty the tank after use.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Thanks to a high steam flow, this clothes steamer can be used to smooth out creases. The high temperatures generated during use can cause burns. Always hold the steamer by its neck and warn others (especially children) of the potential risk of burns from steam, hot water and hot parts, especially when vertical steaming.
  • Store the clothes steamer out of the reach of children.
  • When resting the clothes steamer on its base, make sure that the surface on which the base has been placed is stable.
  • The steamer should not be used if it has been dropped, shows visible signs of deterioration or is leaking.
  • The clothes steamer has been designed for household use with tap water. Do not put perfume, vinegar or any other chemicals in the tank. This unit is not designed for use with these chemicals.
  • Always test the clothes steamer on a small, inconspicuous area of the textile item to be steamed, in order to check that the temperatures are not too high for the textile in question.
  • To avoid damaging the clothes steamer, do not use an alkaline cleaner to clean it. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent.
  • The clothes steamer generates hot steam. Do not touch the steam head during use. When using the clothes steamer, make sure that the steam head is in a vertical position and not pointing towards you.
  • The clothes steamer is fitted with a safety thermal cut-off to protect it from overheating. Nevertheless, do not leave the clothes steamer unattended whilst it is plugged into a mains socket. Always be extra vigilant when children are at home or in the close vicinity of the clothes steamer.
  • Do not fill the water tank beyond the MAX indicator line, as this may cause water to leak.
  • Water may leak from the steam head whenever the temperature of the clothes steamer is not high enough to vaporise the water and produce steam. Therefore, you should always pre-heat the clothes steamer for 2-3 minutes before using it.
  • Never use the clothes steamer on clothing being worn and never direct the steam at people or animals.
  • Do not let the power cable touch any hot surfaces.
  • Keep the steamer clean. Follow the cleaning instructions provided in this leaflet.
  • There is a bag of resin in the tank for purifying the water and descaling. No user maintenance to be performed.
