Intended use
The Convector Heater is intended for heating spaces that are bigger than 1 Sm3• The device must only be used indoors. All other usages or modifications are regarded as contrary to the operating instructions and contain a great risk of accidents. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage(s) resulting from usage that is contrary to these instructions. The device is designed for use in private households. This device must not be used for commercial purposes.

Warnings and Safety Instructions

Please ensure that the packaging is kept out of the reach of children! Risk of suffocation!
Make sure to keep this user manual. Read the manual carefully before using your Auronic Convector Heater!

General

  • Be aware of the risks and consequences resulting from misuse of the Convector Heater. Misuse of the Convector Heater can result in personal injury, or destruction of the heater.

  • Use the Convector Heater only for purposes described in this user manual.

  • If the Convector Heater malfunctions, is dropped or (appears to be) damaged in any manner, do NOT use it and contact Customer Service .
    The Convector Heater is designed and intended for private, non-commercial use only.

  • Do NOT use the heater outdoors or in areas that are smaller than 1 Sm3•

  •  Do NOT leave the Convector Heater unattended when in use. When you are not using it, turn the heater off and disconnect it from the power socket.

  • Do NOT use the device in an environment that poses a fire risk, e.g. near gas tanks, gas pipes or aerosols.

  • This is an explosion and fire risk!

  • If you notice any smoke or unusual noise, immediately disconnect the product from the power supply.

  • This should be checked by a licensed professional before any further use. In the event of a fire, first pull the plug from the power outlet or disconnect the product from the power supply before taking appropriate firefighting measures.

  • When you use the Convector Heater for the first time or have not used it for an extended period of time it is normal for the Heater to emit some smells and fumes. Do not worry. this will stop.

Persons

The Convector Heater should not be used by children, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

  • The Convector Heater can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved .
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • The Convector Heater heats up during use. Do NOT use the device if you are sensitive to heat.

Use

  • The Convector Heater becomes hot! Do NOT touch the Convector Heater or parts of the heater when it is turned on. This can cause burns or other personal injuries.
  • Do NOT use the Convector Heater in or near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or over a basin filled with water. Do NOT operate the device with damp or wet hands and do NOT touch the power cord with damp or wet hands. Make sure to prevent any contact with water. Do NOT submerge the Convector Heater in water. If water does get inside the casing, turn the heater off immediately and contact our customer service.
  • Keep the Convector Heater away from heat and areas where the surrounding temperature is relatively hot (e.g. stoves or other sources of heat).
  • Do NOT cover the Convector Heater when it is switched on. Never put blankets, cushions or objects on top of or against the Convector Heater. This poses a risk of fire, electric shock or injury.
  • Do NOT use the Convector Heater for drying clothes.
  • Do NOT insert objects into the ventilation holes of the Convector Heater.
  • NEVER lift the Convector Heater by its front panel.

Electronics

  • Do NOT reconstruct, repair or disassemble the Convector Heater. This can damage the device. For safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorized service personnel. In order to prevent hazards, always send the heater to the service centre for repairs.
  • Make sure your outlet supplies the correct power voltage to avoid damage to the Convector Heater.
  • The Convector Heater should NOT be used with extension leads as the 2000W will overload most extension leads and can create a fire hazard. Always plug directly into a standard wall socket.
  • Always place the Convector Heater on a hard, stable, even, and horizontal surface. Do not place the heater on carpet or directly under a wall socket. The Convector Heater must be positioned so that the plug is accessible and is not blocked by the Heater.
  • Ensure that furniture, curtains or other combustible material are positioned no closer than 1 meter from the Convector Heater.
  • If the Convector Heater is installed in an open hearth, make sure to block the chimney to reduce the risk of draft behind the Heater. This can cause the Heater to turn itself off.
  • In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, the Convector Heater must NOT be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
  • Always check the power cord and plug before using the Convector Heater. Do NOT operate the heater if the cord or plug are damaged. A damaged cord or plug must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid damages and personal injuries.
  • If the power fails during usage, turn off the Convector Heater immediately and pull the plug from the socket.
  • Do NOT disconnect the Convector Heater from its power supply by pulling the cable.
  • Do NOT carry or pull the device by its cable.
  • Make sure that you do NOT trip over the cable. The cable should not be kinked, trapped or twisted. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch a hot surface.

Receiving Your Shipment

When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent with the packing list. Notify your distributor of any missing items. If the equipment appears to be damaged, file a claim immediately with the carrier and notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage. Save the damaged packing container to substantiate your claim.

Assembling the Legs

Before using the Convector Heater, the feet must be fitted to the unit.These should be attached to the base of the heater. Make sure they are fixed correctly on the bottom ends of the Heater side moldings.

How to Use

  1. Place the Convector Heater on a stable, level surface. Ensure that furniture, curtains or other combustible material are positioned no closer than 1 metre from the Convector Heater. Also do not
  2. Insert the plug in a suitable socket.
  3. Turn the thermostat knob fully to the maximum setting and turn on the heating elements. The switches will illuminate when the heating elements are turned on. Both switches should be on for maximum heat output.
  4. When the desired room temperature has been reached, turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise until you can hear the thermostat click off. After the Convector Heater will keep the air temperature in the room at the set temperature by switching on and off automatically.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Make sure to unplug the Convector Heater and let it cool down completely before cleaning it. Clean the outside of the Convector Heater with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents or abrasives to clean the Convector Heater.

Storage

Store the Convector Heater in a clean and dry place. Do not store the device in extreme high or extreme low temperatures.

Disposal – Recycle

Contribute to a cleaner living environment! This product is subject to the European Directive (EU) 2012/19/EU. Do not dispose of the Convector Heater with the household waste. For proper recycling, please contact your local authority or your household waste disposal service for further details on your
nearest designated collection point.

Service and Warranty

  • Auronic provides a 2-year warranty on its products. To obtain service during the warranty period, the product needs to be returned with a proof of purchase. Product defects must be reported within 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover: damages caused by misuse or incorrect repair; parts subject to wear; defects that the customer was aware of at the time of purchase; damages or defects caused by customer neglect; damages or defects caused by third parties.
