Before use, read the manual and safety information carefully. The supplier is not responsible for failure to follow the safety information on the use and handling of the product or damage to property or personal injury. Always observe the following precautions when using ‘the Terrace heater’, hereinafter referred to as ‘the product’.

General

  • Be aware of the risks and consequences associated with improper use and installation of the product. This may result in personal injury and damage to the product. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage or injury resulting from non-compliance or disregard of the safety information.
  • Use the product only for the purposes indicated in this user manual.
  • If the product is malfunctioning, dropped or damaged, do not use it and consult our customer service.
  • The product is designed and intended for private use. Do not use it for commercial purposes.
  • Do not use the product near a construction site, greenhouse, barn or stable with highly flammable substances.
  • The product is not equipped with a sensor to control room temperature. Do not use the product in small rooms where there are persons unable to leave the room independently unless there is constant supervision.
  • Do not leave the product unattended when in use. Unplug the product before cleaning or when not in use.
  • The product gets hot when it is on. To avoid burns, do not touch the hot parts (with bare skin).
  • The product is not intended for heating food.
  • The product is not intended for drying products.
  • Do not use solvents or aggressive cleaning agents to clean the product.
  • The product is not protected by the thermostat and will not interrupt unless disconnected from the electrical supply.
  • After the product is turned off, the product will remain hot for some time. Do not touch the heating element until it has cooled down.
  • The product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Persons

  • The product may be used by children 8 years of age and older, provided they are properly supervised and instructed in the safe use of the product and understand its potential hazards. Cleaning and maintenance of the product should not be performed by children unless they are over 8 years of age and supervised. Keep the product and cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
  • The product can be used by people with physical or mental disabilities, provided they are properly supervised and instructed in the safe use of the product and understand its potential dangers.
  • The product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with the product.
  • Store and use the product out of reach of pets.

Use

  • Do not use the product in the rain and place the product in a place sheltered from rain and wind. If the product is used in adverse weather conditions, turn it off immediately, unplug it from the wall outlet and store it in a dry place.
  • The product gets hot during use. Do not use the product if you are sensitive to heat.
  • Always place the product on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • Place the product at least 150 cm away from flammable materials, such as textiles, plastics, electrical appliances, wood, etc.
  • Do not use the product near dust, steam or gases.
  • For optimal use, the heating element should be 1.8 m above the ground.
  • Do not operate the product via external timers.
  • Avoid using extension cords.
  • Do not use the product near a bathtub, shower, swimming pool, or near a (laundry) tub filled with water. Do not touch the product and power cord with wet hands. Do not allow the product to come into contact with water. Do not immerse the product in water. If water does get inside or on the product, turn the product off immediately and contact our customer service department.
  • Keep the product away from moisture, heat, areas where the temperature is relatively high, and heat sources such as ovens.
  • Do not cover the product when it is on or shortly after it is turned off. Never place objects on or against the product. Doing so may cause a fire hazard, electric shock, personal injury or damage to the product.
  • Do not attach objects to the product.

Electrical

  • Do not disassemble, repair or restore the product. Doing so may cause damage to the product. For your own safety, these parts should only be replaced by authorized service personnel. Always steer the product to a service center for repairs to prevent damage and personal injury.
  • Before connecting the product, make sure that the mains voltage indicated on the rating plate matches that of your mains supply.
  • Check both power cord and plug regularly for signs of damage or wear, and if there is any, do not use the product and have the power cord and/or plug replaced or repaired by authorized service personnel.
  • If the power fails during use, immediately turn off the product and unplug the power cord.
  • Do not pull on the cord to unplug the product.
  • Do not move the product by pulling the cord or twist the cord.
  • Be careful not to trip over the cable and make sure the cable is not kinked, twisted, or stuck.
  • Do not place the cable on hot surfaces or near oil. Do not leave the cable hanging over the edge of a table or countertop.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Note

  • You will need a Phillips screwdriver for mounting the product.

Mounting foot and stand

  1. Insert the lower tube (#8) through the hole in the base cover (#9) and base (#10). Make sure that the end of the lower tube (#8) points down with the welded plate and is inside the base (#10). Attach the lower tube and base together with the washer (#11) and the L screw (#12).
  2. Install the middle tube (#7) on top of the lower tube (#8). Loosen the fastener (#4), pull the straight tube (#3) up from the inside of the upper tube (#5). If the straight tube (#3) is too tight to pull out, use tools to pull the tube out of the inside of the top tube (#5). Screw on the outer fastener (#4) clockwise. Next, install the upper tube onto the middle tube (#7).
  3. Attach the bracket (#15) to the straight tube (#3) with the screw (#16). Next, insert the straight tube (#3) into the hole at the bottom of the control box (#1) and attach them together with the screw (#2).
  4. Turn the outer fastener (#4) counterclockwise and adjust it to the desired height. Then tighten it clockwise.
  5. Clamp the power cable with the cable clamps (#13).

Wall mount

  1. Drill four holes in the desired location for the wall bracket. Make sure there are no gas, water or power lines running through the wall.
  2. Insert the dowels (4) into the holes. Secure the wall bracket (2) with the corresponding screws (3).
  3. Connect the heating element (C) to the wall bracket and secure the two parts with the thumbscrew (5).

How to use

  1. Adjust the stand to the desired height and tilt the heating element to the desired angle.
  2. Press the switch on the side of the control panel to turn on the product. When the green indicator light flashes, the product is in standby.
  3. Press ‘ON’ on the control panel or remote control to turn the product on.
  4. Press ‘LOW’, ‘MED or ‘HIGH’ on the control panel or ‘MODE’ on the remote control to adjust the heating level.
  5. Press ‘OFF’ on the control panel or remote control to put the product in standby. Unplug the product from the power outlet to turn it off completely.

ATTENTION!

  • Pressing “OFF” does not turn the product off completely. Unplug the product to turn it off completely.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Unplug the product before cleaning it. Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the product clean. Do not use detergents, abrasive or harsh cleaning agents. Do not immerse the product in water.

STORAGE
Store the product in a clean and dry place. Do not store the product in extreme high or extreme low temperatures.

DISPOSAL AND RECYCLE

Think about the environment and contribute to a cleaner living environment! You can contact your local council for all information on disposal options for discarded products.

Disposal
At the end of its life, do not dispose of the product with normal household waste, but hand it in at a government designated collection point for recycling.
Dispose of the packaging and accessories in accordance with the environmental regulations in force in your local council. Pay attention to the symbols on the different packaging materials and – if necessary – dispose of them separately. The packaging materials are marked with letters and numbers: 1-7: plastic, 20-22: paper and cardboard, 80-98 composite materials.

Electric appliance
The symbol shown here with the crossed-out garbage can indicates that this product is subject to European Directive (EU) 2012/19/EU. This directive states that at the end of its service life, you must not dispose of this product with normal household waste, but hand it in at a government designated collection point for recycling.
