Thank you for choosing our Auronic product! Please always follow the instructions for safe usage.
Intended use
The intended use of a dehumidifier is to reduce moisture in the air. This can help prevent mould growth, improve air quality and reduce condensation. Dehumidifiers are often used in humid environments such as basements, bathrooms, laundry rooms or other areas where there is a lot of moisture. They can also be useful in drying wet laundry or reducing damp odours in a room. It is important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using a dehumidifier and make sure the unit is cleaned and maintained regularly. The supplier is released from liability for any injury or damage caused by using the product beyond its intended use. Any modification of the product may affect your safety and warranty.

SAFETY

Before use, read the manual and safety information carefully. The supplier is not responsible for failure to follow the safety information on the use and handling of the product or damage to property or personal injury. Always observe the following precautions when using ‘the Dehumidifier’, hereinafter referred to as ‘the product’.

General

  • Be aware of the risks and consequences associated with misuse of the product. Misuse may result in personal injury and damage to the product.
  • Do not place the product in an unventilated area smaller than 4 m2.
  • Leave at least 30 cm of ventilation space around the product.
  • The product is designed only for combination with R-290 (propane) gas as a refrigerant. Observe national gas regulations.
  • Do not release the refrigerant into the atmosphere.
  • R-290 (propane) is flammable and heavier than air. It first collects in low areas and is circulated by fans.
  • Propane gas is odorless. The lack of odor does not indicate that the gas has not escaped. If a leak is detected, immediately evacuate all persons from the area, ventilate the area and contact the local fire department to indicate a propane leak.
  • The water collected is not suitable for drinking or watering plants. This may be a potential health hazard.
  • The product only works in rooms with an ambient temperature between 5°C and 35°C. If the ambient temperature is below 5°C and above 35°C the product will not work.
  • Use the product only for the purposes indicated in this manual.
  • If the product is malfunctioning, dropped or damaged, do not use it and consult our customer service.
  • The product is designed and intended for private use. Do not use it for commercial purposes.
  • Do not unplug the product while it is on.
  • Unplug the product when not in use.
  • Do not tilt the product. If the product is (has been) tilted more than 45°, leave it upright for at least 24 before turning it on.
  • Empty the water tank before moving the product.

Persons

  • The product may be used by children of 8 years of age and older if they are properly supervised and informed about the safe use of the product and understand the possible dangers. Cleaning and maintenance of the product should not be carried out by children.
  • The product can be used by people with physical or mental disabilities, provided that they are properly supervised and informed concerning the safe use of the product and understand its possible dangers.
  • The product is not a toy. Keep children under 3 years of age closely supervised and away from the product. Do not allow children to play with the product.

Use

  • Do not put or place objects on the product or sit on it.
  • Do not insert fingers or objects into the ventilation holes.
  • Always place the product on a flat, stable and level surface.
  • Do not use the product near a bathtub, a shower, a (laundry) tub filled with water or similar places. Do not immerse the product, cabling or plug in water or other liquids. Protect the product from dripping or spraying. If water enters the product (except for the water tank), unplug it immediately. Have the product checked for damage before using it again.
  • Do not touch the product with wet hands.
  • If the product falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not remove the product from the water until the plug is unplugged.
  • Do not use the product in a potentially explosive environment where there are flammable liquids, gases or substances. Electrical appliances may generate sparks that may ignite dust or vapours.
  • The product contains extremely highly flammable pressurized gas. This gas may explode when heated.
  • Keep the product away from heat, hot surfaces, open flames and other sources of ignition. Do not smoke near the product.
  • Do not use items other than those approved by the manufacturer to aid the defrosting process.
  • The product should only be stored in areas without permanent sources of ignition (e.g., open flames, appliances that run on gas and are on electric heaters).
  • Do not drill into the product.
  • Do not burn the product.
  • Do not use the product near swimming pools, bathrooms or similar environments.
  • The product is not suitable for drying insulation materials. If insulation materials are damp due to a cracked pipe, consult an expert.
  • Never expose the product to temperatures equal to or below 0°C. Residual water in the pipes may freeze and damage the product.
  • Do not use the product in a dusty environment or in an area treated with chlorine.
  • Unplug the product before cleaning or servicing it.

Electrical

  • Do not disassemble, repair or restore the product. Doing so may cause damage to the product. For your own safety, these parts should only be replaced by authorized service personnel. Always send the product to a service centre for repairs to prevent damage and personal injury.
  • Before connecting the product, make sure that the mains voltage indicated on the rating plate matches that of your mains supply.
  • Check both the power cord and plug regularly for signs of damage or wear, and if there is any, do not use the product and have the power cord and/or plug replaced or repaired by authorized service personnel.
  • There is a risk of electrocution if live cables are touched and electrical and mechanical structures are modified.
  • If the power fails during use, immediately turn off the product and unplug the power cord.
  • Do not pull the cord to unplug the product.
  • Do not move the product by pulling the cord or twisting the cord.
  • Be careful not to trip over the cable and make sure the cable is not kinked, twisted, or stuck.
  • Do not place the cable on hot surfaces or near oil.
  • Do not leave the cable hanging over the edge of a table or countertop.
  • The product should be used indoors on a grounded 220-240V~, 50/60Hz outlet only.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Display

  • Blue LED indicator: humidity = <45%
  • Green LED indicator: humidity = ≥45% – ≤65%
  • Red LED indicator: humidity = >65%

POWER

On/Off button

  1. Press the power button to turn on the product.
  2. The power indicator lights up. The default setting for fan speed is “high. The default humidity setting is 50%. Press the power button again to turn the product off.
  3. The light on the power indicator goes off and the compressor stops immediately. The fan will stop after 30 seconds.

If the ON/OFF LED indicator flashes red it means that the product is in defrost mode. The product automatically stops flashing when the defrost mode is completed.

Mode

Press the button to switch between modes.

  • Auto mode: if the humidity of the room is 3% above the set humidity, the product will turn on. If the humidity of the room is 3% below the set humidity light the product will not operate. The fan will stop after 30 seconds.
  • Continuous drying: The product will turn on, but the humidity level cannot be changed.
  • Sleep mode: If the control panel is not used for more than 10 seconds, the indicators

will slowly darken and the ventilation rate will switch from high to low. Press any button to activate the sleep mode indicator. Press the mode button again to deactivate sleep mode.

Timer

  1. Press the timer button to enable the 0–12-hour timer function.
  2. One hour is added with each press of the button. The corresponding time is visible on the display. The timer LED light turns on when the timer is turned on.
  3. When the set time is over, the indicator light turns off again.
  4. Set the timer to ‘00’ to cancel the timer function. The indicator light will turn off again.
  • If the product is off: set the timer and the product will turn on when the set time is over.
  • If the product is on: set the timer and the product will turn off when the set time is over.

HUM SET

Humidity level

  1. Press the button to check the humidity level of the room.
  2. Press the button again to set the humidity level. You can set the humidity to 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%, 55%, 60%, 65%, 70%, 75%, 80%.
  3. After 3 seconds, the setting is confirmed. The current humidity level is displayed on the screen.
  • If you set the product to ‘continuous drying’ the humidity cannot be changed.
  • Press the button for 3 seconds to display the current temperature.

Fan speed

  1. Press the button to switch between different ventilation speeds:
    • Fast ventilation
    • Slow ventilation
  2. The corresponding LED indicators light up.

The speed cannot be adjusted if the product is set to continuous drying, sleep mode or defrost function.
(Child) lock
Press the button for 3 seconds to lock the product.

Full water tank
When the water tank is full, the LED light turns red and the alarm sounds 5 times. Press any button to turn off the alarm. The compressor and fan will be turned off. The product cannot be used again until the water tank is emptied and replaced.

Emptying the water tank
There are two ways to empty the water tank: manual emptying or continuous emptying.
Manual emptying

  1. Press the power button to turn off the product.
  2. Remove the water tank from the product.
  3. discard the water.
  4. If necessary, clean the inside and outside of the water tank.
  5. Place the water tank back into the product.
  6. Press the power button to turn on the product.
  7. If the indicator light indicating that the water tank is full is still on, check that you have correctly reinserted the water tank and there are no blockages.

Continuous emptying

  1. Place the product on a horizontal and stable surface.
  2. Turn off the product.
  3. Secure the drain hose in the designated hole and check that there are no obstructions.
  4. Place the end of the drain hose in a well or bucket. Check that the water can flow through it properly.
  5. 5. Do not immerse the end of the drain hose in the water, this may cause air to become trapped in the hose.
    • Make sure the drain hose is pointing toward the ground.
    • The drain hose should be tilted downward more than 20°.
    • Make sure the hose is not bent or kinked.

Defrost function

  • When the ambient temperature is above 5°C and below 10°C, the compressor stops after 30 minutes of continuous operation and will defrost for 10 minutes. During defrosting, the power indicator will flash and the fan will operate on a “high” position.
  • If the ambient temperature is above 11°C and below 18°C, the compressor stops after 45 minutes of continuous operation and will defrost for 10 minutes. During defrosting, the power indicator will flash and the fan will operate on position ‘high’.
  • If the ambient temperature is above 18°C, the compressor does not need to defrost.

Turning on the drying function

  1. Turn on the product by pressing the power button.
  2. Press the mode button.
  3. Wait until the top light above the mode button turns on.
  4. The drying function is now activated

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Cause Solution



The product is not working.

| No power.| Plug into a working outlet.
The water tank is full.| Empty the water tank and place it back in the product.


The ambient temperature is below 5°C or above 35°C.

| The product is protected against overheating. The product does not operate outside the specified temperature range.


The product is not working properly.

| The air grille is clogged.| Clean the air grille as indicated in the manual.
The air inlet or outlet is blocked.| Remove the blockage.
No air enters the product.| The air grille is clogged.| Wash the air grille.


The product makes a loud noise when it is on.

| The product is not on a horizontal and level surface.| Place the product on a proper surface.
The air grille is clogged.| Wash the air grille.
E2 is shown on the display.| Problem with humidity sensor| Replace the sensor.
LO is shown on the display.| The ambient humidity is below 20%.| ****



This is an indication. The product turns off automatically.

HI is shown on the display.| The ambient humidity is above 90%.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Cleaning
Clean the product with a damp, clean cloth and dry it thoroughly. Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents

Cleaning the air grille
Clean the air grille at least every two weeks or sooner if necessary. Deposits that collect in a dirty air grille can be absorbed by the fan and adhere to the evaporator, condenser or other components. This can cause the product to malfunction and be damaged. If you find deposits on the outside of the product, call an authorized service for professional cleaning. Do not clean the product yourself (except for the washable air grille). Always contact qualified service personnel.

  1. Remove the air grille.
  2. Use a vacuum cleaner to gently remove the dust on the air grille. If the air grille is very dirty, wash it with water and a mild detergent and let it dry completely.
  3. Replace the air grille.

STORAGE

Regular storage
Store the product in a dry, clean place. Do not store the product in extremely high or low temperatures.

Long-term storage

  1. Turn the product off and unplug the power cord.
  2. Remove the water from the water tank.
  3. Clean the air grille and allow it to dry completely.
  4. Store the power cord in the water tank.
  5. Place the air grille back in its place.
  6. Set the product upright and store it indoors in a well-ventilated and dry area.
  7. Do not store the unit in extremely high or low temperatures.

DISPOSAL AND RECYCLE

Think about the environment and contribute to a cleaner living environment! This product is subject to the European Directive (EU) 2012/19/EU. At the end of its service life, do not dispose of the product with normal household waste, but deliver it to a collection point designated by the authorities for recycling.
