HOW TO SET UP SYNC DEVICES IN THE GOOGLE HOME APP

  1. In the same space as your speaker or display, plug in your device.
  2. If you haven’t previously, set up your speaker or display.
  3. Launch the Google Home application.
  4. Tap Add Set up device in the upper left corner. new technology
  5. To finish setup, adhere to the instructions in the program.

HOW TO PUT IN PAIRING MODE

Connect your smart lamp to a socket, then turn it on. To show that it is in pairing mode and prepared to be paired, the blub should steadily flash. To enter pairing mode, turn the light bulbs on and off three times straight.

HOW TO RESET

  1. Start by turning off the light for at least 5 seconds.
  2. For 8 seconds, turn on.
  3. Shut down for two seconds.
  4. Continue doing this for a further five times, or until a light bulb flashes. If the light has been successfully reset, it will flash three times.

FAQs

Are these water resistant and weather resistant?

These lights have undergone testing in outdoor settings where they were exposed to the weather and are rated for outdoor use. Please feel free to get in touch with us personally if you have any more queries.

Can these be used as uplights? Looking to position them in the ground facing up to illuminate the house.

You could certainly use Cync PAR38 Outdoor Floodlights to illuminate the outside of your home. These floodlights are rated for use in wet environments and outdoors. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us directly for assistance.

Will these connect to a 5g or mesh network?

Our Wi-Fi enabled devices are not compatible with 5GHz only networks. Cync requires an active 2.4GHz or mesh containing 2.4GHz network for our devices to operate off of. We would be more than happy to speak with you directly should you have further questions.

Is there a bulb guard that is specifically fitted for these?

This specific product is designed to be used in most outdoor lighting situations and fixtures. We do not carry any sort of guards for our bulbs. Feel free to contact us directly should you have any further questions.

Can these change colors, fade, twinkle, or blink automatically? Or like any special animation options?

Unfortunately we currently do not have any visual effect options for this device, but we are working on making improvements to it based on requests from our users. If you have any suggestions don’t hesitate to share them with us.

Is your product compatible with motion sensors? I have Defiant motion security light housings and want to make sure the bulbs will work.

These lights can work as regular A19 bulbs with an E26 base so if your fixture is E26 base it can control these bulbs like any other fixture. They are also smart bulbs and can be setup and controlled via the Cync app. Feel free to contact us directly if you have additional questions.

Can I use these lights on a schedule like 6pm to 9 pm and then turn on only if motion is detected till dawn?

I have recently figured out the timer aspect of Alexa, by going under routines in the app. I created a routine for the lights to go on at a certain hour and then the light to go off at a certain hour. It requires two routines, one for on, then one for off. I am looking forward to the Holidays, where the lights are on smart switches and plugs to create routines for them to go on and off.


Can these bulbs be used in just a standard outdoor carriage light and not as a spotlight? Does the base fit in a conventional socket, in other words?

We do not recommend our bulbs to be use in any enclosed fixture. These are traditionally used as a ‘Spot Light’ style. However, as the customer it is up to your personal discretion. Please note that use of our lights in incompatible fixtures can void the warranty. Should you have additional questions or would like to know more please feel free to reach out to us directly.

If I have these hooked to a motion sensor, can I turn the light off manually as well without it turning back on with motion?

If this device is paired to the Cync app together with the motion sensor it will turn back on with motion if turned off in the app. In order for motion not to turn the device back on it will need to be turned off at the source or fixture where the bulb is installed in. Will this work with Kasa or Feit Wi-Fi App ?

This device will only work with the Cync, Google Home, and Alexa apps at this time. Feel free to contact us directly if you have additional questions.

Are these rated for damp OR dry locations? Specific answer only please.

The Cync Outdoor bulbs have been tested and are rated for outdoor situations being exposed to harsh elements including damp and dry situations. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any further questions.

Can these be controlled from my iPhone using Bluetooth and no Wi-Fi?

Unfortunately, this device is a direct connect device and requires Wi-Fi to connect and use. We do also carry Bluetooth-only bulbs but in the A19 style bulbs for indoor use. Feel free to contact us directly if you have additional questions.

If you turn off at the switch, and then turn back on, do these blink while reconnecting to the Wi-Fi or just go to the last setting until reconnected?

When you turn our Smart Bulbs back on at the switch they will return to the settings that you have them set to. They do not blink while reconnecting to your network. Should you have any further questions please feel free to contact us directly.

It works with 220VAC?

Unfortunately these bulbs are only rated for 120V fixtures. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any additional questions.

Will these bulbs turn on to their last setting if used with a fixture that’s already on a timer without using Alexa/Google?

These bulbs will act as normal lights if not used with Alexa, Google, or Cync. They will turn on and off according to the fixture’s power. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any additional questions.
