Onvis S4UK Smart Plug

QUICK START GUIDE

Make sure of a Thread network of a Thread Matter hub.
Reset the S4UK smart plug by long pressing the power button for 15 seconds until its LED blinks slowly.
Make sure the S4UK is within Bluetooth range with your phone, and under coverage of the Thread network.
Launch the app (Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings) of the respective ecosystem hub to add S4UK.
Tap ‘+’, and scan the Matter QR code on device or on user manual, or manually input the setup code.
Name the S4UK and assign it to a room.
Talk to the voice assistant or use the ecosystem app to control On/Off.

Tips

The Matter QR/setup code can be used in the FIRST ecosystem Only.
To add S4UK to another Thread Matter ecosystem, please generate a new QR/setup code from the previous ecosystem app.
Use the ecosystem app to create schedules, automations and scenes.
Use the ecosystem cloud to control S4UK away from home.
After setting up, S4UK will act as a Thread router to extend your Thread network.
Occasionally, the Thread network gets unstable, especially when a new device is added. It might take up to 24 hours for the Thread network to heal and adapt to the new structure.
When S4UK is unplugged, please wait at least 5 seconds before plugging it back to power.

FAQ

Why did I fail to set up my Onvis S4UK smart plug?

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in your iOS device.
Make sure the S4UK is within Bluetooth range of your iOS device.
Make sure your Thread network is in place and working, and the S4UK is within Thread coverage.
Input the correct MATTER setup code.
Make sure the ecosystem app and hub supports Thread and Matter commissioning.
An Android device and app are required to commission to Google, Alexa and SmartThings hubs(as of Jan 2023).

No Response

If the connection of S4UK and the Thread network is too weak due to long distance, try deploying a Thread router device to expand Thread network.
When used in multi-ecosystems simultaneously, there might be delays or even failures.

Plug in power outlet directly. No extension power cord.
Do NOT clean with liquid.
