Frequently Asked Questions
So, even if I’m in a completely different city and just have access to my network or another wi-fi source, I can still feed my cat?****
Yes. To set up the feeder and its schedule, your phone and the feeder must be on the same network. The feeder then operates according to that schedule even if you are not at home or connected to the network. If you are linked to another network, you can also start a manual feed. However, you must be connected to the same network if you need to modify the feeder.
If the Wifi is cut off because the connection is too slow, does the meal still come out?****
My own didn’t. Even when connected to wifi, the manual feed button was inoperable. I was required to remove food from the trash and place it in the bowl. This occurred the night before.
What is the name of the iOS app? thanks****
It’s the first one in the app store if you search for “Smart life.” Smart Life – Smart Living is what it says. It has a blue background with a white home on it.
Can Alexa still use this?****
No. Not right now, at least. But the app is fantastic.
Can I use the app to add more than one feeder?****
You can indeed add more than one feeder. Additionally, you may give them various names so you can distinguish which one belongs in each pet’s meal.
Which kind of extension cord is advised?****
The unit’s chord is a USB cable that includes a USB plug adaptor. The extension cord could be any type. The device uses very little power.
Can you regulate how much you eat? If so, could you please explain how?****
Yes, they do refer to serving numbers as “feed numbers”—a term that isn’t really obvious. It’s perfect because one serving is roughly a tablespoonful. Every time she eats, our cat gets approximately 2.
Does the schedule use the feeds or the time zone on my phone?****
It obtains the time data from your home’s Wi-Fi network. The interface you use to program me the feeder is on your phone.
Is it battery-operated or does it require a plug?****
Dual Power Mode: You can use the provided power adapter or three AA batteries to power the feeder (not included). Pets are fed even when there is a power outage because to battery backup. In the event of any power outages, it is advised to utilise both a battery and an adaptor.
There is no Wi-Fi here. Can I use this still?****
No. I believe you need it to programme the feeds.
