Thermal Conditions: Overview
Different scenarios in the thermal calculation can be considered:

  1. Calculate case temperature
    •  Input Rth(c-f)
    •  Input Rth(f-a)
    •  Set ambient temperature
  2. Fixed case temperature
    •  Rth(c-f) = Rth(f-a) = 0
    •  Set ambient temperature
  3. Fixed heat sink temperature
    • Set Rth(f-a) = 0
    • Set heat sink temperature = ambient temperature
    • Provide Rth_c-h
