HOW DOES WE WORK?
If you want to couple them using your Keypad, go to the menu screen, click “Devices,” then your lock, and finally PIN Pad. Hold the “lock” button on the PIN Pad down for five seconds while it is in pairing mode. The voice prompt “PIN Pad inserted” from the Base Station will certify that the PIN Pad has synchronized.

Can you still use a key with SimpliSafe SLK100BB Smart Lock?****
You can enter a PIN using the keypad, use your original key (keep in mind that your door’s deadbolt is still in place), buy a remote key fob, or use the SimpliSafe app on your smartphone.
Does SimpliSafe SLK100BB Smart Lock work without subscription?****
Without an active SimpliSafe security system and interactive monitoring package, you cannot utilize the smart lock. You can only arm the system and lock the lock with voice controls; you cannot actually control the lock.
What are the disadvantages of a SimpliSafe SLK100BB Smart Lock?****
Smart locks typically use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to communicate with your phone. If you don’t have a backup plan, you risk being locked out if your phone is lost, stolen, or malfunctions (like logging in to your account on another device).
How do SimpliSafe SLK100BB smart locks work?****
Your door is always locked thanks to the SimpliSafe Smart Lock. even when you overlook. Your door locks instantly after arming your security system or automatically on a timetable. And when you disable your system, it unlocks it.
Will SimpliSafe arm if a door is open?****
Yes, even if an Entry Sensor is open, the system will still allow you to arm the alarm. This is done on purpose so that you can leave windows or doors open while still arming the rest of the system, as in the summer when you want to allow the breeze in.
Can I use SimpliSafe SLK100BB door lock without base station?****
Regrettably, no. Only the SimpliSafe alarm base station is intended to function with the lock. The keypad PIN codes that were programmed into the base station are required for the lock to function because it lacks memory.
What happens to SimpliSafe SLK100BB smart locks when power goes out?****
Batteries power your smart door lock, and whatever codes you’ve already put to the lock will still function. However, until the electricity and the hub are back up, you won’t be able to add or remove Access Codes or remotely manage the lock (or any other devices in the app).
Are SimpliSafe SLK100BB smart locks hackable?****
Any internet-connected technology has the potential to be compromised. The best defence against hackers is provided by smart locks that use conventional locking mechanisms that can only be physically opened with a key.
What happens if SimpliSafe SLK100BB smart lock battery dies?****
Prior to losing power, your Smart Lock will send you multiple weeks’ worth of low battery notifications. The key will still function even if your Smart Lock completely shuts down before you can change the batteries. You still use the same deadbolt key; the Smart Lock does not alter the key required.
How do SimpliSafe SLK100BB smart locks work without Wi-Fi?****
Locks without WiFi typically include the Bluetooth protocol. This enables communication between the lock and your smartphone by connecting the two devices. An Internet connection has no impact on its features, functions, or performance.
Does SimpliSafe SLK100BB work if Wi-Fi goes out?****
Additionally, it has a cellular module that uses a cellular network rather than Wi-Fi to function. If your Wi-Fi stops operating, the Base Station will instantly convert to cellular communication, and if you lose power, it will automatically switch to battery communication.
How do I use SimpliSafe SLK100BB lock without subscription?****
The bundled keypad may open the lock without requiring a Simplisafe subscription. However, you won’t be able to lock and open the door using the phone app without a membership. No, you don’t need to subscribe.
Why does SimpliSafe SLK100BB smart lock not work all the time?****
It’s possible that your phone’s location information hasn’t been updated recently. In this scenario, Smart Lock won’t function because Trusted Places need a somewhat recent location report in order to unlock your phone.
How do I check the battery on my SimpliSafe SLK100BB lock?****
Pull down on the battery cover (the oval part of the Lock marked “SimpliSafe”) to slide it off the gadget. The batteries will be exposed as a result, enabling battery replacement.
