Proper Use

With this cosy electrically heated mattress cover you will be able to pleasantly warm your body or specific parts of yourself. The use of this heated mattress cover stimulates the circulation and, as a result, promotes the relaxation of tense muscles while also increasing your general well-being. Enjoy its cosy warmth at any time to give yourself a relaxing moment on the sofa or in another favourite spot. This appliance is intended exclusively for domestic use, not for commercial applications or for use in hospitals or medical offices.
To take fulladvantage of your heated mattress cover, please read these instruction sthoroughly and act on the notes concerning care and safety. You will then be able to enjoy the product for a long time.
Please store these instructions for further use or in case you need to hand the product over to another person.

Safety Information

Danger

  • This appliance uses supply voltage. Consequently, the same safety regulations as for any other electrical appliance apply.
  • Only operate the appliance with the stated supply voltage.
  • Inspect the appliance to make sure that all its components are in a faultless condition prior to each occasion when you switch the appliance on. In the event of a defect or malfunction, switch the appliance off immediately and disconnect the power plug from the power supply.
  • Repairs must be performed exclusively by authorized customer service technicians. Never open up the appliance. The individual components of this appliance must not be disassembled, repaired or modified
  • Use the appliance only in dry rooms and with a dry body – never in the bathtub or shower, above filled sinks, in pools, saunas or outdoors.
  • Never operate the appliance too close to other heat sources.
  • Do not pull the power cable across sharp edges.
  • Do not pull on the cable or the appliance to disconnect the power plug or move the appliance.
  • Disconnect the power plug if the appliance is not in use.
  • If you dispose of the appliance, cut off the cable to make it useless.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with appliance.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children without supervision.
  • Ensure that children do not use the appliance as a toy.
  • Not to be used by very young children (0-3 years)
  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • The appliance is not intended for medical use hospitals.
  • Do not use if wet.
  • This appliance must not be used by persons who are insensitive to heat, or by other vulnerablepersons who are unable to react to overheating.
  • Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react to overheating.
  • Avoid using the appliance on an adjustable bed if possible. But if the appliance is used on an adjustable bed, check that the mattress cover and cable do not become trapped or kinked, for example in hinges.
  • The appliance should not be used on an adjustable bed or if the appliance is used on an adjustable bed, check that the blanket and cord do not become trapped or rucked.
  • The appliance is not to be used by young children over the age of three unless the controls have been pre-set by a parent or guardian, or unless the child has been adequately instructed on how to operate the controls safely.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the power supply prior to cleaning it. During cleaning, ensure that no liquids come into contact with the switch or buttons. Also ensure that the appliance is used only in an absolutely dry condition.
  • Do not insert any needles or pointy objects into the appliance.

Warnings

  • If you suffer from an illness (e.g. varicose veins, thrombosis, etc.), consult a physician prior to using the appliance.
  • Never use the appliance if you have an open wound, burn, hematoma, swelling or similar condition.
  • Stop treatment if it feels uncomfortable to you. Heat-sensitive persons, in particular, should use the appliance with care, and stop the treatment in a timely manner.
  • Never use the appliance on animals.

Attention

  • In order to ensure proper functioning of the controls (including the thermostat), do not place them on top of or underneath the appliance.
  • Never use the heated mattress cover while it is folded, bunched up or has raised areas.

Placement of the Heated Mattress Cover

Please ensure that the heated mattress cover is lying flat, without folds, bunching or raised areas.

  1. Place the heated mattress cover directly onto the mattress, ensuring that it does not extend to the area where a person’s head will be.

  2. Place a fitted sheet over the heated mattress cover. The heated mattress cover must be completely flat and free of folds, bunching and raised areas.

  3. Do not ruck up or bend any components that have electrical wires, a power plug or power cable located in or on them, and do not push these components underneath the mattress.
    This could result in a malfunction of the heated mattress cover, as high temperatures could be generated, which will trigger the overheating protection of the appliance.

  4. You can secure your fitted sheet under the mattress as usual.

Note:

For models with a removable power plug, please attach the plug to the connector of the heated mattress cover. Please ensure that this connection is performed correctly and that the plug is securely attached.

Use only original parts!
Do not attach any other control units!

Switch-On Procedure

This heated mattress cover is equipped with an internal thermo-
stat that regulates the temperature automatically and keeps the heat at a constant level. The appliance will generate a comfortable and safe heat. In order to operate the heated mattress cover, insert the plug into the power socket then switch the appliance on.
Remarks: Ensure that the thermostat is in the ‘OFF’ position before connecting the heated mattress cover and switching it on. To make the heated mattress cover operate and achieve a desired temperature, simply select that temperature on the thermostat. When the temperature on the thermostat is set, the heated mattress cover will switch on and the operating light will come on.
The heated mattress cover and the operating light will automatically switch off when the thermostat is moved to the ‘OFF’ position.
Note: Full heat will be achieved more quickly if the heated mattress cover is used with a bed cover.

  1. Low temperature
    Please select the lowest temperature level if the appliance is to be operated for more than one hour.

  2. Medium temperature

  3. High temperature, for pre-heating the bed; not suitable for long-term use.

Cleaning and Care

Because the electronic components are hermetically sealed, the heated mattress cover may be hand or machine washed. However, we recommend the following measures when cleaning the heated mattress.
When hand washing, use lukewarm water at 40 .
When cleaning in the washing machine, observe the following recommendations:
– Select the wool program for washing and tumbling (to 40 ).
– Use laundry detergent that is intended for delicate fabrics.
– Do not use a pressure cleaner.

7 Important:

  • The heated mattress cover may be washed. Please observe the notes above for the particular model.
  • Disconnect the power supply prior to cleaning the heated mattress cover!
  • Do not use any chlorine-based cleaning agents or solvents.

These could damage the appliance.

  • Do not dry-clean the heated mattress cover.

  • The heated mattress cover cannot be dried in a dryer.

  • Do not iron the heated mattress cover.

  • Never use the heated mattress cover while it is wet or damp.
    The heated mattress cover cannot be switched on while it is drying.

  • Let the heated mattress cover air dry.

  • Do not use any laundry pins on any of the components with electrical wires. This could damage the wires.

  • Please ensure that the thermostat does not come into contact with any liquids. The liquid could cause damage.

Storage and Periodic Inspection

  • Do not bunch up the appliance. Fold the product carefully for storage.
  • Store the appliance in a dry location when it is not in use.
  • Let the appliance cool off prior to folding or rolling it up.
  • Inspect the appliance and its power cable regularly for visible signs of wear or damage.
  • Do not use chemical moth protection.
  • Never place any heavy objects on top of the appliance as these could damage the electrical wires.
  • Please return the appliance to the place of purchase if there is any wear or a malfunction.
