Log into the gateway
- Ensure your device is connected to the Router (preferably via cable)
- Open a web browser
- Type the following in the address bar at the top: 192.168.1.1 4.
- Default Username: admin
- Default Password: admin
How to add correct settings for the Mercury network
- From the menu on the left select: Advanced Settings
- From Advanced Settings menu, select WAN
The WAN Internet Connection page displays.
Ensure the following settings are changed:
- WAN Connection Type: PPPoE
- Enable WAN select: Yes
- Enable NAT select: Yes
- Enable UPnP select: Yes
- Get the WAN IP automatically select: Yes
- Connect to DNS Server automatically select: Yes
- PPP Username: (your mercury acct number)@mercurybroadband.co.nz
- Password: password123
- Disconnect after time of inactivity (in seconds): 0
- MTU: 1492
- MRU: 1492
- Service Name: “Leave blank”
- Access Concentrator Name: “Leave blank”
- Additional pppd options: “Leave blank”
- Select ISP: Manual
- Internet: VID – 10, PRIO – 0
- The rest can remain unchanged
- Select apply
The Router should now reboot, and you should now be connected to Fibre!
