Dry Vacuuming

WARNING! For dry vacuuming, always use at least one of the supplied filters for dry vacuuming.
Filtration for dry vacuuming can vary according to the method of use. Three filters for dry vacuuming are included: a paper filtration bag, a HEPA filter and a fabric filtration bag.
For interior vacuuming or vacuuming of fine dust, use the paper filtration bag or the HEPA filter. The best filtration is achieved by combining the paper filtration bag and the HEPA filter.
For vacuuming of coarse dirt or e.g. after working in a workshop or outside, use the fabric filtration bag.
Filtration bags or the HEPA filter must be completely dry when vacuuming dry dust since a wet or damp bag gets clogged soon and its cleaning is difficult. Carefully and regularly check the filtration bags and the HEPA filter for damages. Never use them if they are pierced or ruptured, otherwise, such conditions may result in motor damaging and warranty voidance.

  1. Make sure that the equipment is disconnected from the power supply.
  2. Attach the paper bag opening to the suction throat of the vacuum cleaner. Start from the throat bottom and continue upwards. Push the suction throat completely into the bag. See Fig. 1.
  3. a. The fabric bag is to be attached to the filtration basket. Pull the bag up to the filtration basket throat and make sure that there is no gap that would enable the dust to enter the motor. See Fig. 2.
  4. b. The HEPA filter is to be attached to the filtration basket. After attaching, the filter must be secured with a safety cover. The filter attachment must fit with the safety cover groove. See Fig. 3.
  5. Re-install the upper part back to the tank and fasten it in place.
  6. Insert the larger end of the plastic hose to the front inlet in the tank and secure it. Attach the requested attachment to the free end of the hose.
  7. Connect the plug to the socket.
  8. Turn the switch to Position I – only vacuuming.
  9. After you finish vacuuming, turn the switch to Position “OFF” (“O”), and disconnect the plug from the socket. Salente-Combo-4-in-1-Vacuum--Cleaner-FIG-3

Wet Vacuuming

WARNING! Do not vacuum solvents, explosives, flammable and/or hazardous liquids like petrol, oil, spirits, paints, solvents, acids, etc. Use of an incorrect filter void the warranty.
Before wet vacuuming, the filters for dry vacuuming must be removed, and the foam filter for wet vacuuming must be installed. Use of an incorrect filter void the warranty.

  1. Make sure that the equipment is disconnected from the power supply.
  2. For wet vacuuming, the foam filter must be used. To use the foam filter, first remove the paper bag, the fabric bag or the HEPA filter, if applicable. Make sure the foam filter is clean and dry. Mount the foam filter on the filtration basket carefully. See Fig. 4.
  3. Attach the requested accessories or tubes to the vacuum hose. Fig. 4
  4. Before plugging in, make sure the switch is in position “OFF” (“O”).
  5. Turn the switch to Position I – only vacuuming.
  6. After use, empty the tank and dry it.
  7. After you finish vacuuming, turn the switch to Position “OFF” (“O”), and disconnect the plug from the socket.

WARNING! The tank is not designed for storing liquids. The vacuum cleaner must always be drained. Never store any detergents or water in the tank If you want to vacuum a large amount of liquid from a sink or a tank, etc., do not immerse the nozzle completely in the liquid. Leave a gap in the upper nozzle part to allow air supply. The equipment is furnished with a float valve that blocks the suction when the tank reaches its maximum capacity. The user will notice increased motor noise. When this happens, turn off the machine, disconnect it from power supply, remove the upper part from the tank and drain the liquid into a suitable container or a sink-hole. If you want to continue with vacuuming, re-attach the upper part and continue. After you finish with wet vacuuming, turn off the machine and disconnect the plug from the mains. Before storing, drain the tank and clean/dry its interior and exterior parts.

Wet Carpet Cleaning

Before cleaning, vacuum the carpet properly. To reach the best possible results, we recommend to firstly remove all furniture from the room intended for cleaning or move it outside the cleaning area.
Water combined with a suitable carpet cleaning detergent is sprayed deeply into the carpet fibers using the application jet on the spray nozzle. The contaminated liquid is then sucked back to the waste tank together with dirt and impurities that the liquid has released from the carpet.
WARNING! Always use a detergent with a low foam content or use a detergent for foam removal. Use of unsuitable detergents may result in tank filling with foam that can penetrate into the motor and destroy it.
WARNING! Do not start the vacuum cleaner in Position II if the detergent tank is empty
WARNING! The motor noise increases when the tank is full or blocked. Immediately stop the machine and empty the waste water tank.

  3. Re-install the upper part back to the tank and fasten it in place.
  4. Make sure that the cleaning detergent has been mixed with the recommended water proportion, pour it into the detergent tank and close it tightly. Connect the suction hose using the connector to the cap, push the connector down and turn it.
  5. Connect the connector at the end of the suction hose on the rear side of the vacuum cleaner into the tank cap, push the connector down and turn it.
  6. Make sure that the transparent detergent inlet hose is correctly fitted around the suction hose and fastened using supplied clips.
  7. Connect the vacuum hose to the suction inlet on the front of the tank.
  8. Insert the connector at the end of the detergent inlet hose into the detergent outlet nozzle on the front side of the motor housing.
  9. a. Insert the sprayer handle into the upper part of the suction hose.
  10. b. Attach the large spraying nozzle to the metal tube and connect them with the sprayer handle. Attach the hoses for detergent inlet. The hose is attached by pushing into the connecting piece.
  11. The spraying jet at the end of the inlet hose is slid into the fastening on the bottom side of the spraying nozzle.
  12. b. In the jet, there is a groove that must fit into the pin in the hose attachment to ensure the correct direction of the jet outlet.
  13. Turn the switch to Position II for simultaneous detergent application and dirty liquid suction.
  14. By pressing the spraying lever on the sprayer handle, apply the detergent to the area being cleaned.
  15. To clean fabrics and upholstery, attach the small sprayer head directly into the sprayer handle, and connect the hoses for detergent inlet.Salente-Combo-4-in-1-Vacuum--Cleaner-FIG-9

Working Procedure
Clean the carpet systematically in squares with the size of approx. 1.5 m. This is to avoid walking on the cleaned carpet until it is completely dry.

  1. Start the furthest from the door to the room, lay the hose and move backwards.
  2. Turn the switch to Position II and spray the detergent into the cleaned area using the spraying lever.
  3. Press the spraying lever when you pull the sprayer nozzle back to you in the length of approx. 1.5 m.
  4. Apply more shampoo to particularly stained areas. The dirty liquid is sucked back through the transparent spraying head.
  5. Stop vacuuming if the liquid is not dirty any more.
  6. Do not walk on the cleaned area until it is completely dry.
  7. The small spraying nozzle is perfect for sofas, chairs, stairs and car interiors.

Blower Function

The vacuum cleaner can be used as a blower, e.g. for blowing dust, leaves, air filters, etc. By connecting the suction hose to the blowing throat on the rear side of the vacuum head, the air is blown out. By connecting the slit nozzle, you can better point the air flow. See Fig. 5.Salente-Combo-4-in-1-Vacuum
--Cleaner-FIG-11

Storage and Maintenance

Before storage, perform the following:

  1. Remove the remaining liquid from the detergent tank, and flush it with clean water.
  2. Pour fresh water into the tank, connect it back to the vacuum cleaner, flush the hoses and spraying jets. Drain the tank.
  3. Disconnect particular hoses by pressing the hose connector edge towards its centre and pull out the hose.
  4. For easy cleaning of the vacuum hose, you can suck clean water from the sink or a container into the vacuum cleaner. Do not immerse the nozzle into the liquid completely. Leave a gap in the upper nozzle part to allow air supply.
  5. After vacuum hose drying, you can use the blower function. First of all, drain excessive water from the hose and then connect the blower inlet. This way you dry the hose more quickly.
  6. Turn off the machine and disconnect if from the power supply. Then drain the main tank and flush it with water.
  7. Remove the foam filter for drying. Re-install it for further wet vacuuming.
