Welcome to the Salente Family! The FlamePro model is a versatile grill that offers various programs for cooking different types of food. The grill features a digital touch panel with a display for easy operation. It also includes a temperature probe for precise temperature control. The grill plates have a non-stick surface finish that is sensitive to scratches, so it is important to use non-metallic utensils and avoid cutting food directly on the plates.
Safety Warnings and Instructions
Before using the grill, please read and follow these safety warnings and instructions:
- Hot surface: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be higher when the appliance is in operation. Take care not to touch the heated cover or the surface of the grill plates.
- Handle usage: Do not use the handle to carry the appliance, as irreversible mechanical damage could occur.
- Grill plate care: Do not use metal or sharp kitchen utensils or cut food directly on the grill plate to avoid damaging the non-stick surface finish.
Product Usage Instructions
Before First Use
- Check the product for protective stickers, films, or other materials intended only for transport to the customer. Remove them before use to protect the appliance from scratches or other damage.
- Before connecting to the mains, visually inspect the appliance to ensure it is intact and undamaged during transportation.
- Wash both contact sides of the grill plates with lukewarm water. Press the A2 and A4 buttons to release the plates. After washing, dry the plates with a soft, lint-free cloth and snap them back into the grill.
Using the Temperature Probe
The FlamePro grill includes a temperature probe for precise temperature control. Follow these steps to use the temperature probe:
- Connect the temperature probe to the designated connector (11) on the grill.
- Select the desired program using the touch sensor buttons (1-13) on the digital touch panel.
- Set the target temperature using the touch sensor button (15) and the temperature change touch sensor button (17).
- Place the temperature probe into the food item you want to cook.
- Start the grill by pressing the touch sensor button (9) to switch it on.
- The current probe temperature will be displayed (6). Monitor the temperature to ensure your food is cooked to perfection.

SAFETY WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS
- Use the appliance only as described in this user manual.
- This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years or older and persons withreduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience andknowledge, provided they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe useof the appliance and understand the potential hazards.
- Unpack the appliance carefully, taking care not to throw away any of thepackaging material before you have found all the components of the product.
- Remove all packaging and marketing materials from the product before first use.
- If the appliance is to be used around children, please take extra care. Alwaysplace the appliance out of their reach. Children should be supervised to ensurethat they do not play with the product.

- Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures, excessive humidity (e.g.bathroom, sauna, swimming pool, etc.) or place it in excessively dustyenvironments.

- Keep the appliance clean. When cleaning, follow the instructions in the Cleaningand Maintenance chapter.
- Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried out by children unlessthey are at least 8 years old and supervised. Children under 8 years of age muststay away from the product.
- Always clean product surfaces that come into contact with food or foodstuffsaccording to the instructions in this user manual.
- Before connecting the product to an electrical outlet, make sure that the voltageon the product’s rating plate matches the voltage in your electrical outlet.
- Fully unwind the power cord before using the product.
- Do not connect the appliance to the mains socket unless it is properlyassembled.
- Do not wrap the power cord around the product.
- Do not connect or disconnect the product’s power cord from the electrical outletwith wet hands.
- Make sure that the fork of the power cord does not come into contact withmoisture, water or other liquids. If this still happens, dry the fork carefully beforeusing it again.
- Do not disconnect the appliance from the power outlet by pulling the powercord. Damage to the power cord or electrical outlet could occur. Disconnect thepower cord from the power outlet by pulling the plug.
- Do not place heavy objects on the power cord. Make sure that the power corddoes not hang over the edge of the table or touch hot surfaces or sharp objects.
- Always clean the power cord with a dry cloth only, never wash it with water.
- Always switch off and unplug the appliance when not in use, when leftunattended and before cleaning, maintenance or storage.
- Keep the supply cable dry.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly earthed socket.
- Do not plug the appliance into an extension cord.
- If the supply cable is damaged, have it replaced by a qualified service centre toavoid a dangerous situation. It is forbidden to use the appliance with a damagedsupply cable.
- This appliance is not designed to be operated by a programmer, external timeror remote control.
- Use the handle to swivel the top grill plate.
- This appliance may only be used with the original grill plates supplied with it.
- Before inserting the grill plates into the appliance, make sure they are clean andcompletely dry.
- Do not use the appliance without the drip tray properly inserted.
- Do not use the appliance without properly inserted grill plates.
- Never place food wrapped in cling film, foil, etc. on grill plates.
- Do not use the appliance to prepare flambéed food.
- Always clean the surface of the grill plates after each use according to theinstructions in the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance”.
- Always allow the appliance to cool before removing the grill plates, drip tray,cleaning, carrying or storing.
- Before storing or moving, make sure that no food residue is left on the grillplates and that the drip tray is empty.

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Check the product for protective stickers, films or other materials intended only fortransport to the customer to protect the appliance from scratches or other damage.Remove such before use.
- Before connecting to the mains, ensure by visual inspection that the appliance isintact and no damage has occurred during transportation.
- Before first use, both contact sides of the grill plates must be washed with lukewarmwater. To release the plates, press the A2 and A4 buttons. After washing, wipe theplates dry with a soft, lint-free cloth and snap them back into the grill.
SERVICE
This contact grill is equipped with a touch control display. To select functions, simply touch the relevant control. The selection is always confirmed by a short beep.
- Connect the mains cable to a 230 V socket. A short beep will sound and all thecontrols and indicators on the display will briefly light up. The display will then flash”OFF” and touch sensor B9 will light up to switch the grill on.
- The grill is now ready for use and can be put into operation by touching the B9sensor. The grill is factory preset to a target grill plate temperature of 200 °C and atime of 0 minutes.
- By touching sensors B7 and B8 , you can immediately set the desired targettemperature of the grill plates in the range of 80-220 °C in 5 °C increments. Fasterwinding is possible by holding your finger on the sensor.
- You can also enter the temperature setting menu by touching the B17 sensor.Temperature display B15 flashes for 5 seconds. You can set the temperature within5 seconds by touching sensors B7 and B8 in the range 0-220 °C in 5 °C increments.Faster winding is possible by holding your finger on the sensor. If the temperature isnot set within 5 seconds, the temperature display B15 will stop flashing and the lastset temperature value will remain.
- Enter the time setting menu by touching the B16 sensor. The time display B14flashes for 5 seconds. You can set the time within 5 seconds by touching sensors B7and B8 in the range 1-60 min in 1 minute increments. Faster winding is possible byholding your finger on the sensor. If the time is not set within 5 seconds, the timedisplay B14 will stop flashing and the last set time value will remain.
- Start grilling by touching the B9 sensor.
- You can pause and restart grilling at any time by touching the B9 sensor.
- If you only set the temperature and leave the time at zero, the B15 will flash untilthe target temperature is reached. When the target temperature is reached, theB15 temperature indicator will stop flashing and the grill will maintain thetemperature at the set value.
- If you set the time in addition to the temperature, the temperature value indicatorB15 will remain lit continuously and the time indicator B14 will flash the “S” symboland the set time will count down. When the set time is reached, the grill stops, theB9 indicator flashes and the grill automatically switches off after 5 minutes.
- You can switch off the grill completely by holding your finger on sensor B9 forapprox. 3 seconds. “OFF” will flash.
Remark: You can change the temperature and time freely during grilling.
USE OF PRESET PROGRAMS
The grill is equipped with 8 pre-set programs that have precisely selected temperature and time.
- After switching on the grill, select the programme by touching the respective sensorsB1-B4 and B10-B13. Once the grill is wound up, just touch the B9 sensor to startgrilling.
- The B15 indicator will flash until the target temperature is reached. When the targettemperature is reached, the B15 temperature indicator will stop flashing and thegrill will maintain the temperature at the set value.
- You can deselect a program either by selecting another program or by touching theprogram icon again.
- You can pause and restart grilling at any time by touching the B9 sensor.

The temperature and time can be changed during the program:
- The temperature reset menu is accessed by touching the B17 sensor. Temperaturedisplay B15 flashes for 5 seconds. You can adjust the temperature within 5 seconds by touching sensors B7 and B8 in the range 0-220 °C in 5 °C increments.Faster winding is possible by holding your finger on the sensor. Confirm theselection by touching the B17 sensor again. If the temperature is not set within 5seconds, the B15 temperature display will stop flashing and the original temperature setting will remain.
- The time reset menu is accessed by touching the B16 sensor. The time display B14flashes for 5 seconds. You can change the time within 5 seconds by touching sensors B7 and B8 in the range 0-60 min in 1 minute increments. Faster winding ispossible by holding your finger on the sensor. Confirm the selection by touchingthe B16 sensor again. If the time is not reset within 5 seconds, the time displayB14 will stop flashing and the original time will remain set.
USE OF DRIP TRAY
- This grill is equipped with an A3 drip tray for excess oil.
- Do not use the grill without a drip tray.
- Always insert the drip tray completely into the bottom of the grill – excess oildrips from the grill plates into the back of the grill.
USE OF TEMPERATURE PROBE
The grill comes with a temperature probe to measure the temperature inside the meat. You will find it in storage box A9 on the right side of the grill. The box is equipped with a magnet for easy and convenient placement in the storage compartment.
- Plug the temperature probe connector into socket A10.
- After plugging the connector into the grill, the temperature probe light B5 will flashand the current temperature probe indicator B6 will light. By touching the B5temperature probe light, you can switch to the probe target temperature settingmode. The default setting is 45 °C and the setting range is 45-90 °C in 1 °Cincrements.
- Stick the needle of the temperature probe into the meat so that the tip is in themeat and does not touch the bone.
- Start grilling.
- The target probe temperature can be checked at any time during grilling by touchingthe B5 sensor. The B6 target temperature setpoint flashes for 5 seconds and thenthe display switches back to the current probe temperature display.
- When the target temperature is reached, it is signalled by beeping 3 times and at thesame time the B5 and B9 indicator lights flash.
Once the target temperature of the probe is reached, the value can be adjusted and grilling can continue:
- Enter the temperature reset menu by touching the flashing sensor B5.
- The B6 temperature display will flash for 5 seconds.
- You can adjust the temperature within 5 seconds by touching sensors B7 and B8 inthe range 0-220 °C in 5 °C increments. Faster winding is possible by holding your finger on the sensor.
- If the temperature is not reset within 5 seconds, the B6 temperature display will stop flashing and the last set temperature value will remain.
- Once the temperature has been adjusted, continue grilling by touching the B9 sensor.
When the target temperature of the probe is reached, it is also possible to stop grilling by touching the flashing sensor B9.
OPERATING POSITIONS OF THE GRILL PLATES
This contact grill can be used with the top grill plate in four positions:
The top plate is completely covered (see Figure C). In this position, slider A6 is in the open lock position.
The top plate is hinged with height locking (see Fig. D). To adjust to this position, lift the top of the grill by grasping the handle A1 and move the slide A6 to one of the five features:

II … distance between plates 2 cm

III … distance between plates 2,5 cm

IV … distance of plates 3,5 cm

V … distance between plates 4,5 cm

The top plate is hinged at an angle of 110° (see Figure E).

To adjust the grill to this position, open the grill by grasping the handle A1.
The grill is fully extended to 180° (see Fig. F). To set the grill in this position, press the A7 button and at the same time open the grill fully to 180° by grasping the A1 handle. Use the two pairs of feet located on the sides of the handle as support for the top of the grill when fully extended (see Figure G).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- After each use, both contact sides of the grill plates must be washed with luke warm water. To release the plates, press the A2 and A4 buttons. After washing, wipe theplates dry with a soft, lint-free cloth and snap them back into the grill.
- In case of minor soiling, it is sufficient to wipe both contact sides of the grill platesdry with a paper towel.
- Wash the drip tray in the same way after each use.
- You can clean the needle of the temperature probe with a soft cloth soaked in lukewarm water and, in case of minor contamination, wipe dry with a paper towel.
Warning: Neither the grill plates nor the temperature probe can be washed in the dishwasher!
ERROR MESSAGES

E02| Short Circuit| Disconnect the grill from the mains immediately and
contact the service centre.
E03| Heating element error| There was a problem with the function of the
heater. Disconnect the grill from the mains immediately and contact the
service centre.
E04| High temperature| Too high temperature of the grill plates.
Switch off the grill, disconnect it from the mains and wait for the grill plates to cool down. Then plug the grill back in.
E05| Temperature probe error| The temperature probe is not connected.
Connect the temperature probe to the grill.
E06| Time fuse| The grill is equipped with a timer that automatically
shuts off the grill after 60 minutes of operation.
Let the grill plates cool down and then you can resume grilling.
Disposal
If the information leaflet, packaging or product label contains a crossed-out bin symbol, this means that in the European Union all electrical and electronic products, batteries and accumulators marked in this way must be placed in separate waste containers at the end of their life. Do not dispose of these products in unsorted municipal waste.
