INVERTER INSTALLING

Check the box contents

Please check things following after opening the package:
Check the inverter outside if has any damage. If there is any damage of the machine, please contact the common carrier immediately.
Check if the standard accessories are complete. If you find out any missing accessory or wrong model please contact your supplier immediately.

Installation environment
Keep inverters in well-ventilated places. Keep inverters away from water, overheating, explosives, direct sunlight, volatile gas and over salinity.

Caution
The operating temperature range of the inverter is -26•80˚C. Do not overload the inverter, and it’s not recommended to use over 40˚C. If the inverter temperature is over 40˚C, reduce consumption with 10% for every 1˚C over 40. The best operating temperature range for the battery is -20˚C•30˚C. If the temperature is over 30˚C, the battery life span will drop. Under 20˚C the electric storing time will drop.

Safety using distance
The inverter must pe mounted at least 60mm from the front and back panel to anything nearby. Please do not cover the two-panel sides of the inverter to avoid overheating and reduce the life span.

Electric cable connection

Caution
Please make sure the inverter power button is off before connecting the cable. Do not make the wrong connection of polarity, or would cause an inverter short circuit. Please do as the following sequential process when you connect the inverter cable:

  1. Turn the power button to “OFF”.
  2. Connect the direct current input cable to the polarity of the battery.
  3. Make sure the plugs of the inverter and battery are tightly connected or would cause the cable to overheat.
  4. Connect a load to the power outlet of the inverter on the side panel.
  5. Ensure all the connections are properly done, turn on the inverter. If the green LED lights on, then the output voltage is correct and the device is ready to use.

The correct connection is shown in the below picture.

Cautions

  1. Do not use the alternating current output to connect the power grid, or would cause frying the inverter.
  2. Make sure the power loads increase gradually and do not go over the rated power of the inverter.
  3. For inductive loads use an inverter 2-3 times its power.
  4. Because the vacuum pump and electromotor start current is too strong, the inverter should be turned off when you start the car.
  5. The inverter should be kept in well-ventilated places, not covered by anything, and kept away from touching it.
  6. Do not connect the inverter to discharged or old batteries, or it will cause frying the inverter.

Installation environment

  1. Keep the inverter in a well-ventilated and clean place.
  2. Keep inverters away from water, direct sunlight, dirt, and fog.
  3. The operating temperature is -26˚C•80˚C.

ABOUT BATTERY

Storage battery introduction
A storage battery is a device of chemical energy change to electrical energy and a device of inverter input. Choose a suitable battery corresponding to the inverter model to ensure optimal functioning.

Storage battery performance index

  1. 1. Capacity: Represents how much energy at full power equals the discharging current multiplied by discharging time.
    Capacity = discharge current (I) x discharge time (H)
    2. Discharge rate: The speed of each discharge current.
    3. Discharge current: Discharge current is the output current. It is usually expressed by ampere or volume multiplied by some coefficient.
    4. Final discharging voltage: It means the voltage when the battery is not going to discharge; it is usually I. 75V/unit cell
    5. Nominal capacity: It means the capacity after 20 hours of discharge.
    6. Self-discharge rate: The battery would discharge without use.

The unit is C/unit.

Choosing the right battery

Because inverters need a strong current when it is working, the capacity it, if the capacity of the battery and max output current are not enough, would cause the inverter can not to be derived fully loaded. Also, it would cause damage to the battery. The storage battery capacity depends on max discharge current: Max discharge current=rated power/(storage voltage0.85) Storage battery capacity=most discharge currentdischarging time.

Example:

  • PNI L1200W Inverter rated power is 1200W, input voltage is 12V, so:
  • Most discharge current=l200/(12*0.85)=117 A;
  • If kept working for 2 hours:
  • Storage battery capacity=l17*2=235AH
  • Please choose a battery with a capacity higher than 235AH.

MAINTAINING AND FAULT ANALYSIS

Fault analysis

Fault Cause Solution
Inverter and LED wont turn on 1. Battery is damaged or worn out.

2. Battery connection is abnormal.

3. Fuse is broken.

| 1. Replace battery.

2. Reconnect the batery properly.

3. Replace

Inverter is in protection and the FAULT LED turned on| Inverter is in protection mode, and the faut LED is on

1. Inverter enters protection when the load overlapses inverter power.

2. Load lauch power is over inverter peak power. Inverter enters protection.

3. Low battery voltage. Inverter enters low voltage protection.

4. High battery voltage. Inverter enters high voltage protection.

5. Inverter temperature is too high.

| 1. Reduce load.

2. Inductive load (motors, pumps) have a high consumption at launch. Choose a inverter 4-5 times more powerfull in these cases.

3. Ii the battery voltage goes over the minimum protection level, the inverter restarts automatically (or replace the battery).

4. Daca voltajul bateriei scade sub nivelul maxim de protectie, invertorul reporneste automat(sau schimbati bateria).

5. Turn off the inverter for 15 min, Check and clean the fans and the air intakes and keep a venting space around.

Inverter not working in full load| 1. The cables between battery and inverter are too long

2. Cable connection is loose.

| 1. Shorten the cables or use thicker.

It’s recomended to use the cables in the box.

2. Check the cable connection and tighten them up.

If the inverter cannot work despite those problems, please contact the agency or manufactory immediately. Do not disassemble the inverter by yourself, the warranty will be void.

Maintenance

It is recommended periodic maintenance for a high life span.
