User Guide

Get Start & Diagnosis

Vehicle Connection

1. Power up the tablet.
2.  Connect the VCI dongle to the vehicle’ DLC for both communication and power source.
3. The VCI dongle will connect to the tablet automatically
4.  Check if the button at the toolbar turns to green. If yes, it means it is ready to start diagnosis.

NOTE: If the VCI indicator is not green, it indicates that the signal strength of the transmitter is too weak to be detected. In this case, try to get closer to the device, or check the connection of VCI dongle, and remove all possible  objects that cause signal interference.
Start Diagnosis

• Two Methods to Start Diagnosis

Method 1: VIN Reading
Diagnostic—->AUTOVIN—>Automatic Read/Manual Entry
Note:   button on the top of title bar. Method2: Manual Selection
Diagnostic—->Select Car Brand—-> Smart VIN/Manual Selection —-> Quick Scan/Control Modules

Registration

NOTE
Please make sure your network works correctly and the tablet is fully charged or connected to the external power supply.(NOTICE: 5G is NOT supported yet)

1. Press Update from the home screen of the diagnostic APP, and then press Free Registration to start.
2. Enter one of your emails and tap Send Code to get a 4-digit security code. Input the code, create a password and click Free Registration to complete. The serial number will be recognized automatically and click Submit to activate the scanner.

FAQ

Q: If I receive a used or defective machine, what shall I do?

A: All our products are sent to the FBA center as brand new through the strict security check by Amazon. But around 1% of customer return goods will be marked as sellable by Amazon without our control. If you receive a defective or use one, please contact us for replacement.

Q: What should I do if there are some scratches on the screen?

A: There is a tightly-fitting screen protector on your machine. If any scratches are found, just tear off the screen protector from the upper left or upper right corner.

Q: If it cannot work on your vehicle, how can I get tech support?

A: Please reach us at the first time via amazonsupport@foxwelltech.com. Our engineer will offer tech support to solve your problems. Fast response will be given within 24 hours. We'll definitely offer you a satisfactory solution.

Remote Control
If you need to get the remote support from Foxwell,

1. Contact us via amazonsupport@foxwelltech.com or Amazon message with your problem at first, we’ll coordinate a technician for you.
2. Click the Settings button, find and press the Remote Control module, then choose Quick Support option.
3.  Return to home screen to click the Remote Control icon, wait a few seconds and you’ll see the device ID. Please send this ID to us.
4. We’ll coordinate the available online time between you and the technician in advance. Remote support can get the start when both your NT809BT and technician are online at the same time.

NOTE: Please make sure your NT809BT is always connected to the network during the remote control.

Update

1. Press Update from the home screen of the diagnostic APP.
2. The available updates are displayed.
   Click the check box(s) in front of the software you wish to update and then click the Update button to download.
