When using this or any other electrical appliance, always follow these basic safety precautions, especially when children are present.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

WARNING- To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious personal injury and property damage please note the following:

  • This appliance is not intended for use by children. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and pets. Extra caution is necessary when using this appliance near children.
  • Always ensure the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet and allowed to cool before assembling, disassembling, relocating, or cleaning it.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is in use. Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet when not in use.
  • Do not immerse or expose the Base, Power Cord, or Plug of this appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs when handling product.
  • Use protective oven mitts or gloves when removal ng the Lid or handling hot  containers to avoid burns or personal injury.
  • This appliance generates heat and steam during use. Please take the proper precautions to avoid burns,. fire, and personal or property damage.
  • Do not use attachments not recommended or sold by the Manufacturer as it may cause fire, electric shock or injury. Attachments, when furnished, may become hot during use. Allow any attachments to cool before handling them.
  • Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in a heated oven, or other heated surfaces.
  • Use extreme caution when moving an appliance containing food or liquids.
  • Use the product in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 4-6 inches of space on all sides of the product to allow adequate air circulation.
  • Use appliance on a table or sturdy flat surface
  • Keep the appliance away from curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels, or other flammable materials.
  • Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
  • This appliance is intended solely for non-commercial, non-industrial, household use in cooking of food for human consumption; do not use the  product outdoors or for any other purpose.
  • Do not operate the appliance empty.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter where it may be tripped over or pulled. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not operate the appliance if it has a damaged power cord or plug, if wires are exposed, if it malfunctions, if it is dropped or damaged, or if the motor housing is dropped in or exposed to water.
  • This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.
  • Do not attempt to examine or repair this appliance yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform any servicing. Take the appliance to the appliance repair shop of your choice for inspection and repa1r.
  • Do not put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the appliance, as the power cord could fray and break.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  • A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product, but if one must be used:
    • The marked electrical rating must be at least as great as that of the product.
    • If the product is of a 3-prong grounding type, the extension cord must be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.
    • Arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over or pulled.

WARNING: This product is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other blade) to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This is a safety feature. The plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to insert the plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use the plug with an extension cord unless you can fully insert the plug into the extension cord.

Do not alter the plug. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

Before First Use

IMPORTANT: Please check all packagfa1g material carefully before discarding as there may be accessory parts contained within the packaging material.
WARNING: Do not allow children to operate this appliance, it is NOT a toy.

  • Before your first use you may wash the Measuring Scoop, Lid, and Popper cover using warm water a nd non-abrasive dish soap.
  • The Inner popper can be cleaned using a lightly damp cloth (Making sure water does NOT enter the Hot Air Chambers).
  • Dry a ll parts thoroughly and assemble.

Using Your Hot Air Popcorn Maker:

WARNING: Avoid contact with hot surfaces.

  1. Place the Motor Base on a clean, flat surface.

  2. Using the Measuring Scoop provided, measure 1 scoop of Popcorn Kernels and add them to the Hot Air Inner Popper. The Scoop provided with this appliance is the recommended batch amount. One Scoop renders about 6-8 cups of Popcorn per batch.
    CAUTION: Do not overfill the product or operate it when empty. DO NOT add oil to the Inner Popper, Popcorn is cooked using Hot Air.

  3. Place the Popper Cover and secure in place. The Measuring Scoop should be placed on top of the Popper Cover and can serve as a Butter Warming Tray.
    NOTE: The Measuring Scoop/ Butter Melting Tray must always be in place while in operation even if you choose not to melt butter. Do not operate the Popcorn Maker without it.

  4. The Butter Melting Tray can hold up to 3 Tablespoons of soft butter or margarine. Using cold butter/ margarine is not recommended as it will not melt during the short popping period.

  5. Place the Lid / Serving Bowl under the opening of the Popping Cover.

  6. Connect Plug to the nearest 120 V AC electrical outlet and Turn the Power Switch to the “I” position to begin the popping cycle.
    Attention: First use may cause a slight odor or small smoking upon heating, it is normal. This is a result of the heating element chemical reaction. It quickly goes away.

  7. Popping times vary from 2-3 minutes from when the first kernel has popped.
    Note: Keep hands away from the Popping Chute as HOT un-popped kernels can occasionally be thrown out of the inner popping base and miss the bowl. Use a napkin or allow these kernels to cool before picking them up.

  8. Once the batch of popcorn has finished turn the Power Switch back to the “O” position to turn it off and unplug the unit from the electric outlet.

  9. Make sure all popping has stopped before removing cover or Butter Melting Tray.

  10. If Butter was melted using the Melting Tray carefully and preferably using a kitchen mitt, use the tray handle to pour butter over the Popcorn in the Serving Bowl.
    DO NOT ADD BUTTER INTO THE HOT AIR INNER POPPER

  11. Make sure the Inner Popper is empty before making more batches. Carefully turn the unit upside down over a trash bin to empty any kernels or bits that were left behind.

Cleaning Your Popcorn Maker:

WARNING: Always unplug the product and allow it to cool before cleaning or storing it.
NOTICE: Never immerse the motor base, plug or cord in water or any other liquid.

  • Lid, Cover, and Butter Melting Tray can be washed in a dishwasher or with a soft sponge and nonabrasive soaps.

  • Rinse thoroughly and dry. Reassemble and store.

  • The Inner Popping base may be wiped with a damp cloth making sure water does not enter the hot air chamber. Dry all parts thoroughly.
    NOTE: NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE

  • Assemble all parts to avoid losing pieces.

  • Store in a cool, dry place. Away from reach of children.

Popping Hints/Recipes:

  • Yellow popcorn kernels usually pop larger than white kernels.
  • Store popcorn in a tightly sealed container in your pantry. Do not freeze or store popcorn kernels in the refrigerator as this can dry out the kernels and change the popping results.
  • Do not overfill the Popping Chute as this can cause overheating, smoking or burnt corn. The unit may shut off if it over heats. If overheating occurs unplug the unit from the e lectical outlet, remove cover and empty contents of the Inner Popper. Allow the popper to cool for 15 minutes before restarting.
  • Premium popcorn yields larger batches.

Popcorn made with Hot Air is a great Low Calorie Snack.
Here are some great alternatives to Butter and Salt to boost flavor. Add 1
Tablespoon of any of the following and toss well to coat your freshly made Popcorn:

  • Mini Dark Chocolate Chips or Mini Marshmallows
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Sriracha Hot Sauce
  • Curry Powder and Olive Oil
  • Lemon Pepper and Olive Oil
  • Salt Free Garlic Powder and Olive Oil
  • Chopped Herbs
  • Lemon Zest and Olive Oil
