Decalcifying and Removal of Mineral Deposits:
To keep your machine operating efficiently, we recommend you follow these
steps regularly, once a month, if you use it daily, and if you use water with
a higher content of minerals (faucet water).
Decalcify: is the removal of mineral deposits. All water contains minerals
including purified and filtered water. After your first use, you may see the
first signs of deposits which will slow the brewing and will create a bitter
taste of your brew.
To decalcify your machine, use equal parts white vinegar and water, and fill
to the MAX line. Do not overfill. Start the brewing cycle and allow the brew
to complete. Turn the power off and unplug during this time. Allow the machine
to sit for 15-30 Minutes.
After allowing the solution to sit for 15-30 minutes, repeat the steps 1-2
more times with the solution.
Once you have run your solution, rinse your machine with clean distilled water
and repeat at least 2-3 times to ensure all the solution has cycled through
the machine.
Tips:
Always use a coffee filter by adding dry ingredients like sugar or Matcha
powder.
