Operating Instructions
EZ-Depth Digital Drill Press Gauge
Improve the accuracy and precision of your hole drilling operations with the iGaging EZ-Depth gauge on your drill press. It is attached directly to the collar on the quill and to the side frame of the drill press. Zero the display with the drill bit in contact with the workpiece, then use the digital display to measure the drilled depth.
Display Operation
On/Off/0 Button – Short push to turn display on or off. Push and hold for 3 seconds to zero the display.
INC Button – Push to zero and enter incremental mode, push again to
toggle between absolute and incremental.
Mode Button – Toggles display between fractional inch, millimeters and
decimal inch.

Step 1 – Attach Quill Bracket
Back out the end of the collar clamp and insert it through the slot in the
quill bracket. Assemble the clamp and bracket around the quill collar as shown
in the picture at right, then tighten the screw to secure both the bracket and
clamp tightly against the collar.
Step 2 – Locate Tap Locations
Using screws and washers from the fastener bag, temporarily attach the display
bracket to the display and the scale to quill bracket, thenmark the display
bracket location on the side of the drill press. Remove the display and
bracket, thenuse the included tap, bit, and guide to tap holes in the side of
the drill press for mounting the bracket.
Step 3 – Complete Assembly
Mount the display bracket to the side of the drill press using the included
screws, then reattach the display and scale to the brackets asshown in the
picture. To prevent the display screws from bottoming out, use two washers
with each screw.
