400-D68 Depth Indicator Set
Please read through this instruction carefully before using the tool. Use
the tool for its intended purpose only.
Item# 400-D68 : 0-22” Depth Indicator Set**

- Two-Threaded Positions Depth Base
- Connector (installed on indicator)
- Dial Indicator (item# 400-005)
- Bezel Locking Screw
- Depth Rods: 1,2,3,4,5,6”
- Measuring points: (flat, needle, ball, spline)
- Full set with protective case

Indicator tolerance: ±0.001” -
Operations
Zero setting: 1. Loosen the indicator bezel lock.
Secure the indictor on base with flat or ball points (without any rod attachment); push down the indicator against a flat surface and make sure base is tightly against the surface; adjust the dial on the indicator to the “0” position and tighten the screw.
2. For using needle and spline points: zero setting the indicator using an setting master.
Depth base: 2-position base for easy position exchange.
Connector: screw and un-screw to change position of the indicator on the base.
Depth rods: 1” to 6” rods can add up to 22” in range.
Measuring tips: 4 different measuring tips to use in different applications.
Zero setting with ball contact and without extension on a flat surface Zero setting when using extension rod and/or flat, needle, or spline point and with a pair of block, and on a flat surface. 
- Do not disassemble the instrument.
- Do not subject the instrument to blows or shock.
- Do not store the instrument under direct sun light.
- Avoid exposing unit to strong magnetic fields and live voltage.
- Use soft cloth to clean instrument before and after usage. Never use organic solvents such as acetone or benzene to clean.
