FAQs
How long is the power cord on the PH-19J tower heater?****
The unit’s power cord length is approximately 6 feet.
When the desired temp is reached, does it automatically turn off? Then when the temp gets colder, does it automatically turn back on?****
this compact tower heater is mechanical type that there has a control knob to choose the heating speed, only High or Low. The heater will keep working at the heating speed you prefer, will not auto turn off. The way to turn the heater off is turn the knob to OFF status.
I purchased this heater and it does not oscillate when I turn the knob to that setting. Is it broken?****
Mine oscillated for a few weeks then stopped working entirely.
can you use this heater in a garage?****
Yes, you can use this unit in a garage. Have a great day. peloniscustomercare@hartehanks.com (BBB A+ Accredited Business).
Will this heat a 28’x9′ travel trailer home****
I have a 30′ rv at a remote worksite I’m at a few days a week. 1 worked ok for most of a Tacoma winter until night time temps hit the ’30’s. At that point, I either needed to hang a blanket/ tarp about midway to reduce the total air volume heated or add a second heater.
Does this heater have a fan****
No, it does not have a fan. Still warms up my whole office nicely (a 10 ft. x 11 ft. room).
Will this heat even after power was interrupted temporarily? (Want unattended small shed kept unfrozen. I.e. always switched-on and low- thermostat.)****
I love this oil heater. We use two in the office to keep the pipes under a bathroom sink from freezing and the vacuum pump working as well. If you lose electricity the unit will turn off but it stays warm for about 20 minutes.
Why is there a beeping noise after running long periods?****
It is at programmed temp.
How much electricity it uses in a day?****
unfortunately…it adds a lot.
In case of damage on the product, where can I go for a repair?****
For warranty, you can contact us at PelonisCustomerCare@hartehanks.com. We will be happy to help. Have a great day. (BBB A+ Accredited Business).
Will this be effective for outside use in my balcony in winter?****
It may work if you have an enclosed balcony, but otherwise, even though it puts out a great deal of heat, it may not work on your balcony.
I have used DeLonghi got years, does Pelonis get just as hot as they do?****
I can’t compare the 2, but the Pelonis oil heater is absolutely fantastic… Warms most of the home when temps are above freezing if you just leave it on. Freezing you’ll need a couple, but this is a great option for silent efficient heat.
My heater (pth15a2bgb) does not turn on at the lowest setting. is this normal or is it malfunctioning?****
May be normal. Depends on the temp of the room. The lowest setting may be lower than your room temp, so won’t turn on. As you turn the setting up, you will find the temp the heater can add to the warmth. It comes on .
What is the difference between the phta1abb and the hc – 0179?****
I don’t know, but if both types of heaters are heating up my cold feet, then that’s good enough for me. It’s doing its job. It’s a small and compact heater to warm very small spaces.
Does it come with a Prop 65 cancer warning? If so, what is the risk of exposure to the consumer?****
No it doesn’t.
