Clean and Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Before using the device, clean the probe with a soapy sponge or cloth, then rinse and dry it.
  • Always take your reading in the thickest part of the meat, avoiding the bones and heavy fat parts. Because the thin parts of the meat are difficult to measure, they tend to  cook faster, and if the tip touches the bone or heavy fat parts, or the probe tip is not inserted deep enough, it’s hard to ensure accuracy.
  • When measuring different foods or meats with the same probe, please cool the probe down first by rinsing the tip with cold water.
  • After using the device, you can sterilize the probe by inserting it in boiling water for several minutes.
  • After using the device, hold the Power/Set Button for 3 seconds to turn it off for protecting the batteries.

Storage
After using the probes, you can use the included probe storage rack to store them.

  1. Insert the stainless part of the probe into the storage rack’s slot and wrap the probe wire into the rack.
  2. Press the connector of the probe into the rack.
