PURPOSE OF USE

The rice cooker is intended for preparing dishes such as cooking rice, soup, porridge, etc.

INNER POT

Measuring Rice
The inner pot is equipped with two markings. The right marking, labelled “CUP”, is for cooking rice and indicates the number of cups, while the left marking, labelled “L,” is for cooking Low Carb rice or steaming and indicates the water level.

Inner Pot

  • If you cook rice, use the provided measuring cup to measure the rice. Rinse the rice under cold water and pour it into the pot.
Then, depending on the number of measuring cups, add water up to the indicated marking on the right. For example, if you have placed 3 cups of rice into the pot, pour water up to the “3” marking. The maximum number of measuring cups you can put into the pot is 5.

  • For proper rice measurement and ensuring perfect preparation, it is important that the measuring cup is properly aligned, and you always use the same amount. The image below shows cases where the measuring cup is aligned correctly and when it is not.
    Inner Pot

  • If you cook Low Carb rice, cook only one cup of rice, and add water up to the left marking “0.8”.

  • If you steam food, pour water into the pot up to the left marking “0.5”.

WARNING:

Never fill the inner pot with food or liquids above the interrupted marking “- – – – – — -“. There is a risk of spilling food and damaging the rice cooker.

Insertion into the Rice Cooker

  • Before putting the inner pot into the rice cooker, always ensure that the outer bottom of the pot and the heating element inside the rice cooker are clean and dry, without any food or water residues. If there are any food residues, they could stick to the outer bottom or heating element, which could potentially damage the rice cooker.
  • If necessary, slightly rotate the inner pot in the rice cooker to the left or right to ensure it fits onto the heating element.

Tips for Cooking Rice

  • Use the provided measuring cup when measuring rice and water. One full measuring cup of rice is approximately 160 g of rice.
  • The general rice-to-water ratio is 1 : 1.1 measuring cups. However, the amount of water may vary depending on the type of rice. Follow the rice manufacturer’s instructions.
  • The inner pot is also equipped with markings to determine the correct rice-to-water ratio. Add water to the marking corresponding to the number of measuring cups of rice used. For example, if you add 1 cup of rice, add water up to the “1” mark.
  • It is recommended to rinse the rice under cold running water until the water is clear.
  • In order for the rice to cook evenly, it needs to be evenly distributed over the bottom of the inner pot. Stir the rice before closing the lid and make sure its level is even.

Steaming (STEAM programme)

  • Use the provided steamer for steaming.
  • Pour enough water into the inner pot so that the level is approximately 1 cm from the bottom of the steamer. There should be a gap between the water level and the bottom of the steamer.
  • Insert the steamer into the pot, then place the food in the steamer and select the STEAM programme.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning and maintenance, disconnect the power plug from the mains socket and pull the power cord from the back of the rice cooker. Allow it to cool completely.

WARNING:
Do not immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid. There is a risk of electrical injury.
Note:
Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaners, benzene, solvents, alcohol, etc. for cleaning. Do not use wire brushes or any other tools that could scratch the surface.

Inner Pot, Steamer, Measuring Cup and Spoon

  • Wash the inner pot, steamer measuring cup and spoon in warm water with a little dishwashing detergent. Rinse with clean water and wipe dry.
  • If the bottom of the inner pot is scorched, pour warm water into the pot and add a small amount of dishwashing detergent. Allow it to sit for a while, then wash.

Inner Lid

  • Press the lid open button to open the lid.
  • Remove the inner lid and remove the silicone seal from its outer edge, and remove the silicone seal around the inner oval opening.
  • Wash the inner lid and silicone seal in warm water with a little dishwashing detergent. Rinse with clean water and wipe dry.
  • Place the silicone seal on the inner lid so that the longer edge faces the interior of the rice cooker.
  • Place the silicone seal of the inner oval opening inside the opening and spread it evenly.
  • Place the inner lid so that the oval opening in the inner lid is aligned with the steam outlet on the inside of the lid. Press gently until the inner lid fits properly.

Outer Surface

Wipe the outer surface and the inside of the rice cooker with a soft sponge slightly dampened in warm water. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
