Important safety measures

Before using this toaster, read and observe the following basic safety measures carefully:

  • Before connecting the toaster to a power socket, please check that the nominal voltage matches the electrical voltage in the socket. If not, please contact your distributor and DO NOT USE the toaster.
  • The toaster should only be connected to a properly grounded socket.
  • DO NOT LEAVE the power cord hanging over the edge of tables or countertops and do not let it come into contact with hot surfaces as it may get damaged.
  • This product MAY NOT be placed onto a heated surface or near a gas stove, electric burner or heated oven.
  • DO NOT HEAT empty as it may damage the heating element.
  • The toaster and bread may become very hot – leave sufficient space around the toaster for air circulation (beware of long curtains, dish clothes etc.).
  • Do not turn on the toaster without the crumb tray in place at the base. The tray should be emptied regularly so no crumbs accumulate there.
  • Ensure that the toaster is operated on a flat stable surface that is out of reach of children and ensure it does not heat up excessively.
  • DO NOT PLACE this product into water or any other liquid as it may cause electrical injury.
  • The toaster may only be used for toasting pastries.
  • While toasting, some parts may become very hot.
  • DO NOT MOVE the appliance when turned on.
  • Do not let children play with the appliance.
  • DO NOT USE non-genuine parts or accessories without the approval of manufacturer to avoid fire, electrical defects or injuries.
  • When cleaning your toaster or when not in use, always keep it disconnected from the power socket. Let the toaster cool down before cleaning.
  • DO NOT USE this appliance with a damaged power cord or pins with potential defects. For any repair, contact the distributor of this product or an authorized service centre.
  • This appliance is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or not having sufficient experience and knowledge, if not under supervision or instruction.
  • Children should be supervised and must not play with the appliance.
  • Children must not clean or perform maintenance of the device without supervision.
  • NOT TO BE USED in an outside environment.
  • NOT TO BE USED for any other purpose than it was designed for.
  • Do not touch the power cord with wet hands or if you’re in a water.
  • This package contains small parts that may be hazardous for children. Always keep this product out of reach of children. The bags may cause suffocation when put over the head or the small parts they contain may cause choking.

This appliance is designed only for domestic use and similar premises such as:

  • Staff kitchens in shops, offices and other work premises
  • Hotel or motel rooms and other living areas
  • Guesthouses or similar areas

WARNING: Do not try to remove any stuck pastry using a knife or any other sharp metal object as there is the risk of electrical injury! If bread becomes stuck, disconnect the toaster from the socket, leave it to cool down and only then remove the bread.

Use

  1. Plug the appliance into a socket.
  2. Insert one or two slices of bread or other appropriate pastry into the toasting slots.
  3. Choose the required browning level (1 – minimum, 7 – maximum). When using it for the first time, it’s recommended to set it to level 3. Different kinds of pastry require different settings.
  4. Push the lever down until you hear a click. Toasting will begin automatically. If the toaster is not plugged in, the lever will not stay down.
  5. The toaster will turn off automatically when the set browning level has been reached. The bread will pop up, so it can be removed easily. The toasting procedure may be stopped at any time by using the CANCEL button.
  6. REHEAT – after setting the REHEAT level, the bread heats up but is not browned further; after 30 seconds the toaster switches off automatically and the bread pops up.

TOASTING FROZEN PASTRY: When inserting a frozen pastry into the toaster, the procedure is the same. After pushing the lever down, press the DEFROST button.

Maintenance

This toaster has an integrated crumb tray which is easy to remove and keeps the toaster and the surrounding area clean. Always empty the tray after the toaster has cooled down and after the toaster has been unplugged. The tray may be washed. Put it back in the toaster only after it has fully dried.
Crumbs that remain inside the toaster on the heating element may be removed carefully with a brush. The outside surface may be washed down with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp items or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning and maintenance.

  2. Repairs within the warranty period are to be claimed at the seller. In case of technical difficulties or questions, please contact the seller, who will inform you about the further procedure. Observe the rules for work with electrical appliances. The user is not authorized to dismantle the product nor to replace any part of it. Open or removed covers present a risk of electrical shock. The incorrectly assembled appliance also presents the risk of electrical shock when re-plugged.

The warranty period is 24 months unless stated otherwise. The warranty does not cover damage caused by non-standard usage, mechanical damage, exposure to extreme conditions, usage contrary to the manual, as well as ordinary wear and tear.
The manufacturer, importer, or distributor will not be held responsible for any damage caused by improper usage of the product.
