Product Usage Instructions:
Step 1 – Back Cover:

Turn off and power down the laptop.

Flip the laptop over onto a flat surface for easy access to the
base cover screws. -
Unscrew the five screws on the base cover using a Phillips #0
screwdriver. Note that these screws are not removable.
Step 2 – Removing the Base Cover:

Insert a plastic opening tool between the cover and the
laptop. -
Slide the tool along the edges of the case while pushing down
to detach the cover. -
Move the tool to different locations if needed to fully release
the back cover.
Step 3 – Removing the Battery:
- Using tweezers, unplug the battery from the laptop’s
motherboard by gently pulling on the cable.
Step 4:
- Remove the four 5.2 mm screws holding the battery in place
using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
Step 5:
- With your hands, carefully remove the battery from the
laptop.
To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse
order. After completing the replacement, it is recommended to
calibrate your new battery for optimal performance. Dispose of your
e-waste responsibly by taking it to an R2 or e-Stewards certified
recycler.

INTRODUCTION
If you need to access your laptops trackpad, or need to replace your laptops
battery please refer to this guide. This guide does not require any difficult
or complicated steps. Do exercise caution before beginning this guide by
ensuring that the laptop is unplugged and turned off. To complete the removal
and/or the replacement of your battery, you will need a plastic opening tool,
a Phillips #0 screwdriver, and a pair of tweezers.

Step 1 — Back Cover
Turn off and power down the laptop before proceeding with the guide.
Flip your laptop over and place on a flat surface so you can access the screws
on the base cover.
Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, unscrew the five screws on the base cover.
The screws are not removable.
Step 2
Remove the base cover by inserting a plastic opening tool in between the cover
and the rest of the laptop. Once the tool is inserted, slide the tool along
the edges of the case and push down on the opening tool to detach the case.
You may need to move the tool to different locations to fully release the back
cover. Step 3 — Battery
Using tweezers, unplug the battery from the laptops motherboard by pulling on
the cable that attaches it.
Step 4
Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the four 5.2 mm screws holding the
battery in place. Step 5
Using your hands, remove the battery from the laptop.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
For optimal performance, after completing this guide, calibrate your newly
installed battery.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
