How to reset the camera?
Press and hold the reset button of the camera for 5 seconds until it plays a sound “prompt restoring factory settings and release”. (The reset button is near the SD card hole.)
How to add the camera to the Aidot APP by scanning the QR code?
Step 1: Home page>Tap “+” icon>Add Device>Scan.
Step 2: Scan the QR code on the body of the camera and follow the tips of the
APP.
How to add the camera to the Aidot APP manually?
Step 1: Home page>Tap “+” icon> Add Device >Surveillance>Choose the camera.
Step 2: Click the “Add Manually” at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Please follow the tips of the APP.
Failed to add the camera to the Aidot APP(such as red light flash)?
a. Please reboot the phone and reset the camera.
b. Make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct. Make sure there’s no blanks and
special characters among the the WIFI SSID and password.
c. Move the camera closer to the router. By the way, it supports a 2.4GHz
network only.
d. The camera does not support WPA3 router encryption. If your router is set
with WPA3 encryption, please change it to WPA2 in the router settings.
e. If the router is incompatible, try another router or use your mobile phone
hotspot.
There may be a router incompatibility issue. It is recommended that you try to
use the mobile hotspot to connect the device.
After using the mobile hotspot to connect successfully, please keep the device
online for more than ten minutes. The device is automatically upgraded to the
latest version.
After the upgrade is complete, the device can be reset and connected to the
router at home.
I am stuck on the live stream page, what should I do?
If there is a stuck, delayed, and the live stream is failed to be watched,
please try the following steps:
a. Move the camera and mobile phone closer to the router;
b. Restore the router and reset the camera;
c. Delete some infrequently used networking devices on some routers;
d. Add a router or WiFi connection device.
e. Check whether the camera is upgrading.
f. Make sure not to exceed the limited number of connections of the camera.
g. The phone and camera shall be connected to the same WiFi.
What should I do if there are some videos that didn’t record on?
If you are restoring the video by Cloud.
a. Please enable the motion detection only and forbid the other detection;
b. Develop the sensitivity of the camera;
c. Delete the activity zone of the camera;
d. Adjust the cooldown to 1 min.(The cooldown time is only able to be adjusted
to 1 min and 3 mins after subscribing to the cloud service)
If you are restoring the video by SD card.
Please enable the continuous recording function.
Home page>Device settings>Recording/Storage settings>continuous recording.
What is the cooldown?
It the cooldown time of the camera’s video triggers.
If the camera’s cooldown setting is 5 mins, it means that the camera will not
trigger another video within 5 minutes.
The benefits of Cloud Service.
a. Videos of devices stored on the cloud could still be checked even if the
device is broken or missing, or the memory card is damaged.
b. The main content of the service is: during the service period, you can use
all the AI algorithms on the device, and you can view the event recordings of
the last 30 days on the app anytime, anywhere.
c. The AI algorithms also vary between models.
How to subscribe the Cloud Service?
There are two cloud services now.
For a single camera.
It would charge $1.99 per month and $19.99 annually.
For the unlimited camera.
It would charge $6.99 per month and $69.99 annually.
Step 1: Please access the Aidotor Page and click AI Protection.
Step 2:Click to Add New Subscription.
Step 3: Choose the Cloud Service that you want. (You can also check what
functions you can enjoy after subscribing to the cloud services.)
What should I do if there is no notification from the camera?
Firstly, please make sure to enable the notification of the Aidot APP, you can
check it on the setting of your phone;
Secondly, please make sure to enable the notification at the Aidot. Open the
Aidot APP>Aidotor page>Notification settings>Push notifications>Then select
the device that you want to be notified.
Finally, please make sure to enable the notification of the device. Home
page>Device settings>Notifications>Then select the event that you want to be
notified.
What should I do if the camera makes no sound?
Please turn on the sound permission through the following steps.
Home page>Live stream page>Click the live stream and you will find a speaker
icon.
The speaker is turned off by default.
What is the difference between the F2/F2 pro?
There are 2 lights on the F2, and 3 lights on the F2 pro.
Both got no difference on functions.
What should I do if the spotlight cannot work at night?
A. Please turn on the light on the live stream page and see if the spotlight
is on.
B. Please set a schedule of the light:
