Function Descriptions
Receiver

Power Button: Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn on/off the receiver. While powered on, double-click to toggle between mute and unmute modes.
While powered off, press and hold for 7 seconds to enter pairing mode. -
Display Screen: Shows real-time info such as battery levels of the receiver and transmitter, noise reduction mode, signal strength, volume level, pickup status, and channel settings.

Function Switch Button: Press to enable/disable noise reduction mode. Press and hold for 2 seconds to switch between mono and stereo modes (Mono mode by factory default).

dB Button: Press to adjust the volume level. Three volume levels available: 0dB, 5dB, and 10dB, which cycle in sequence. 5dB by factory default (medium level).

Ø3.5mm Audio Output: Connect audio devices such as DSLRs or audio interfaces using a Ø3.5mm audio cable for audio output.

Type-C Interface: Connect the receiver to a power source using a Type-C data cable for charging. This interface also supports OTG function, allowing seamless digital transmission when connected to Apple or Android smartphones using an OTG data cable, enabling simultaneous charging and transmission.

Receiver Display Screen

dB Volume Display: Shows three volume levels: 0dB, 5dB, and 10dB. The volume bar is gray when set to 0dB, half blue when set to 5dB, and fully blue when set to 10dB.

OTG Icon: Appears when connected via OTG and disappears when not.

Noise Reduction Icon: appears when enabled and disappears when disabled.

Channel Info: Shows mono icon when in mono mode, where audio is recorded identically to both left and right channels, regardless of which transmitter picks up the audio.
Shows stereo icon when in stereo mode, where audio pickup from transmitter mic 1/2 is recorded to left/right channel respectively. -
Mic Status: indicates that the mic is muted, and indicates unmuted.

Channel Indicator: Displays the channel of the transmitter. When using two transmitters simultaneously, one is assigned to Channel 1, and the other to Channel 2. When pairing with a single transmitter, Channel 1 is prioritized for pairing.

Mic Signal: Shows the strength of the mic signal. When mic signal is lost, the mic battery level and dynamic volume meters disappear as well.

Battery Level: Displays the battery status of both the receiver and transmitter. Turns red when low battery and requires prompt charging. Shows a lightning symbol during charging, and turns green in full bars when fully charged.

Mic Volume Meter: Shows the real-time volume level of the transmitter. If the volume is too high and causes distortion, the volume meter will jump to red at the end. Green indicates normal pickup, yellow indicates pre-clipping, and red indicates clipping.

Operating Instructions
A. Pairing Method
The product comes pre-paired and will automatically connect upon powering on.
However, if you need to re-pair the devices due to special circumstances,
please follow the steps below:
- Press and hold the power button on the receiver for 7 seconds to enter pairing mode. During pairing, the screen will show a flashing icon and prompt about “Pairing” as shown below.
- Press and hold the power button on the transmitter for 7 seconds to enter pairing mode. During pairing, the screen will show a flashing icon and prompt about “Pairing” as shown below.
- Pairing is successful once both the receiver and transmitter screens display “Pairing successful”, as shown below.
- If the receiver or transmitter displays “Pairing failed”, please retry the afore pairing steps.
- Both mics are shown as TX. They have memory function, which retains the pairing settings from the previous power cycle.
Note: To clear pairing history and re-pair, press and hold the power button for 7 seconds continuously without releasing while powered off. If you have pressed the button for over 2 seconds but released before reaching 7 seconds, it will only power up the device.
B. Device Connection and Usage
Transmitter

Using the Built-in Mic
Attach the transmitter directly to the collar using the belt clip. To install the furry windscreen, align the tabs on the windscreen with the groove on the transmitter and rotate clockwise to tighten it. -
Using an External Mic
Insert the plug of the Ø3.5mm lapel mic into the mic input interface of the transmitter. Clip the transmitter to your belt and attach the lapel mic on the collar. -
Connection with Audio Interface
Use the included 3.5mm audio cable. Connect one end to the audio output port on the receiver, and the other end to the 3.5mm mic input on your audio interface. This will route the audio output to the audio interface.
Receiver

For Use with a Camera
Securely mount the receiver onto the camera shoe mount using the belt clip. Connect one end of the provided Ø3.5mm audio cable to the output interface of the receiver, and connect the other end to the camera’s mic input. Optionally connect headphones for monitoring. -
For Use with a Smartphone
iOS System -
Attach the receiver to the phone holder using the belt clip. Connect the receiver to the phone using the provided Apple OTG cable.

Swipe down the upper right corner of the phone screen to access the settings interface. Then, tap the window with the icon in the upper right corner.

Check if the speaker device is TAKSTAR V1 in the dialog box. If it is, connection is successful, as shown.
Note: You can charge both the receiver and your phone while simultaneously using the devices, by connecting a Takstar C2-5 OTG data cable (not included) as shown below.
Android System
- Attach the receiver to the phone holder using the belt clip. Connect the receiver to the phone using the provided Android OTG cable.
- This wireless video mic is compatible with most Android smartphones with OTG function. However, please note that some phone models and apps may restrict OTG function. This is not a product quality issue. Please consult your mobile device supplier to confirm if your phone supports OTG functionality. For certain brands like OPPO and VIVO, you may need to enable the OTG function for proper usage.
- For Use with a Computer
- Insert one end of the provided Android OTG cable into the Type-C interface of the receiver, and connect the other end to the computer. Use a USB adapter if necessary. The computer will automatically recognize the driver.
- Right-click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of your desktop and select Open Sound Settings.
- Click Sound Control Panel to access the Sound settings. Then, select the Recording tab and set TAKSTAR V1 as the default device. Speak into the transmitter mic to test if the mic is working properly, the volume bar should fluctuate as you speak.
Safety Instructions
To avoid electric shock, overheat, fire, radiation, explosion, mechanical risk and injury or property loss due to improper use, please read and observe the following items before use:
- Please check if the power of the connected equipment matches with that of this product before operation. Adjust the volume to proper level during operation. Do not operate at over-power or high-volume level for extended time to avoid product malfunction.
- If there is any abnormality during use (e.g., smoke, strange odor), please kill the power switch and unplug from power source, then send the product to the local after-sales service for repair.
- Power adapter used, if any, should be approved by CCC certification or similar standards and comply with the power supply requirements.
- Keep this product and its accessories in a dry and ventilated area. Do not store in a humid or dusty area for extended time. Keep away from fire, rain, liquid intrusion, bumping, throwing, vibrating, or from blocking any ventilation openings, to prevent malfunction.
- The product must, when installed on walls or ceilings, be fixed firmly in place at adequate strength to prevent from falling.
- Please abide by safety rules during operation. Do not use the product in places prohibited by laws or regulations to avoid accident.
