Use

Before using it for the first time
The first time the toaster is used it may smoke a little. This is completely normal and soon stops. We recommend using the toaster without any bread first.

Toasting

  1. Check that the crumb tray is properly inserted before use.
  2. Put the bread in the toasting slots. Two slices of bread can be toasted at the same time. The toasting slots are intended for regular, smooth slices of bread.
  3. Plug the plug in a PowerPoint.
  4. Turn the knob to the required toasting setting. There are 7 settings. The low setting gives light toasting, the high setting gives darker toasting.
  5. Push the toasting slot handle down to switch on the status light. The toasting starts. When the bread has toasted to the set toasting time the bread slot handle comes up automatically so that the bread can be taken out. The handle only locks in its bottom position if the plug is plugged into a PowerPoint.
  6. Keep an eye on the toasting. The toasting can be stopped at any time by pushing the Cancel button.

NOTE:

  • One slice is toasted with more than two slices with the same setting.
  • If the toaster is used continuously the subsequent slices are toasted more than the first ones with the same setting.
  • Press the Cancel button immediately if the toaster starts to smoke.
  • If the bread gets stuck, pull out the plug before removing it. Be careful not to damage the heater element or the ejector mechanism.

MAINTENANCE

  • Pull out the plug before cleaning and when the toaster is not in use.
  • Wipe the outside of the toaster with a soft, dry cloth. Never use steel wool, detergent, or the equivalent.
  • Pull out the crumb tray and empty it. Empty the crumb tray at least once a week if the toaster is used a lot. Check that the crumb tray is properly inserted before use.
  • The power cord can be wound around the bottom of the toaster before putting it away.
