Important Information
Thank you for purchasing the KickAss Handy Power Pack. This device is equipped with a powerful lithium 26AH energy source, so please ensure all instructions are read and followed carefully.
CAUTION!
- BEFORE USING YOUR KICKASS HANDY POWER PACK FOR THE FIRST TIME PLEASE ENSURE YOU FULLY CHARGE THE UNIT BY USING THE AC CHARGER PROVIDED FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS.
- PLEASE CHARGE THE KICKASS HANDY POWER PACK EVERY THREE MONTHS TO MAINTAIN THE BATTERY LIFE.
- ENSURE THAT THE UNIT IS FULLY CHARGED IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH USE TO PREVENT BATTERY DAMAGE.
- DO NOT alter or remove the factory plates and identification labels.
- DO NOT disassemble the device (no user serviceable parts inside).
- REMARKS:
- Please turn OFF the DC Output Switch when DC output is not required to reduce standby consumption.
- Please turn OFF the AC Output Switch when AC socket power output is not required to reduce standby consumption.
General Information
Introduction & Overview
- The KickAss Handy Power Pack is a portable power source with both AC and DC outlets and provides 230V AC or 12V DC power to many different devices. The pack features a 250W (Max) inverter, 2 x 5.5mm DC outlets, DC Cigarette socket and 4 x USB charging outlets. A digital LCD charge display shows the level of battery charge at any time.
- The KickAss Handy Power Pack stores energy in its built in lithium battery and is charged by either the AC wall adapter or the included DC-DC vehicle charger. This unit can also be charged by solar panels as an option. It is ideal for home use, recreational outdoor, small office and emergency back up power.
- The KickAss Handy Power Pack Kit also has overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, undervoltage and over-voltage protection.

- Please always turn AC/DC Switch ON to enable the power output function.
- Please always turn the AC/DC Switch OFF after use to reduce self-consumption and to extend the battery running time. The unit can be charged when PV input/adaptor plugged in.

Charging KICKASS HANDY POWER PACK
Charge from AC/DC Adaptor
Plug the AC/DC Adaptor provided into both the wall and the DC charging port on the unit. The LCD display will flash to confirm the charging process is underway. When the battery is fully charged, the LCD will display “FULL” and the Charging LED indicator will be green.
- While charging, the AC/DC Adaptor will get warm. This is normal.
- Please make sure that you only use the standard adapter supplied with the unit as it provides a constant current with a charging power limit of 16V/5A.
DC DC Charging
To charge the KickAss Handy Pack via your vehicle or battery box, you can use the included DC/DC vehicle charger. Simply plug the cigarette style plug into your cigarette socket charging source either in the vehicle or a battery box and connect to the charging port on the KickAss Handy Power Pack. It is recommend that you continue charging until the the LCD displays FULL.
Charge from Solar Panel (Optional)
CAUTION!
- The KickAss Handy power pack will Charge with a MAX of 60W solar power through refer to the connection diagram above. the charging port. Please
- Please charge the unit when the LCD displays “20”, otherwise the unit will go to low voltage protection mode and all the outputs will cut off automatically.
- In low voltage protection mode all the outputs will be cut off automatically.
Power Output
USB Socket
KickAss Handy Power Pack provides 4 sockets for 5VDC USB power output, 1x 2A
socket and 1 x 1A socket as a group, each group supports the maximum current
of 3A.
5.5mm DC Jack Socket
Two 5.5mm DC Jack Sockets provide 12VDC/ 6A output to power and charge 12V DC
devices.
Cigarette Lighter Socket
One Cigarette Lighter Socket provides 12VDC/1 0A output to power and charge
12V DC devices.
AC Socket
Two AC sockets provide 230V/50HZ output to support AC devices with 200W of
continuous load and 250W maximum intermittent load.
CAUTION!
This product carries high voltage AC output – Please be careful. Never short
circuit the DC, to AC sockets or battery to AC under any circumstances. This
may damage the battery, cause a fire hazard and there is risk of electric
shock.
LED Indications
Charging and Battery Level indication
- **LCD displays
**
The LCD display will show the current battery level, Please press the LCD
display button to turn on the LCD display backlight. The backlight will stay
on for 20 seconds.
* “Full” means the battery is fully charged.
* “20” means the battery is very low, please charge the battery.
* “O” means the battery is empty.

Charging LED indicator
When the battery is charging, the LED will be flashing green. When the battery is fully charged, the battery LED will tum to solid green. When PV the is connected in reverse polarity LED will be flashing red.
CAUTION!- Please charge the unit when the LCD displays “20”, otherwise the unit will be in low voltage protection mode and all the outputs will be cut off automatically.
- Ensuring you charge your battery when the LCD displays 20 will also ensure it prolongs the battery life.
DC Output Indication
- Press the DC output switch to activate the DC power of 12V DC and 5V USB output, the LED will turn Green and the power output is now ready.
- If the unit senses too large of a current draw, the overcurrent fault will occur and the LED will flash red.
AC Output Indication
- Press the AC output switch to activate the AC power output, the LED will turn Green and the power outputs are now ready for use.
- Press the AC output switch to activate the AC power output, the LED will turn Green
Overload / Short Protection
- If the AC inverter is overloaded it will automatically go into protection mode. To reset, remove the load and switch the AC power button off and then on again. Should the DC sockets become overloaded or short circuited, the unit will also go into protection mode.
- To reset this, switch the DC power button off and then on again.
