SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using your COMPACT-600 for the first time, give it a full charge.
Please charge COMPACT-600 every three months to preserve the battery health.
- Do not alter or remove the factory plates or identification labels.
- Do not disassemble the device.
- Do not place the unit close to or in a fire or expose it to heat.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Do not connect the output to mains power under any circumstances.
- Do not touch the unit or the plug in points if your hands are wet.
- Do not connect any metallic objects to the AC input or output.
- Do not move the unit if it is recharging or in use.
- Do not operate the unit above the specified input voltage.
- Do not charge the unit via power supply systems that operate outside 100-240V.
- Use and store the unit only in a clean and dry environment.
- Check the unit prior to every use, Do not use the unit if it is damaged or broken.
- Keep the unit away from children. Do not let children use the device.
- Keep this product away from pets.
- If rust, odors, overheating or other abnormal circumstances are observed, stop using the unit immediately and contact KickAss Products Warranty Team.
- The unit complies with all legal requirements for transport of dangerous goods.
- Make sure the unit is properly secured when transporting it in a motor vehicle.
- Only charge, use and store the unit within the temperature range defined in the product specifications.
- Switch the unit off immediately if it has been dropped or exposed to excessive vibrations.
- Read the instruction of the peripheral electronic device before connecting it to the unit.
- Make sure to switch off the peripheral electronic device before you connect to this unit.
- This product is not waterproof and should not be exposed to rain or moist environments.
- Please dispose batteries and electronic goods in accordance with local regulations.
- Use only original or certificated charger and cables.
- Ensure cooling-vents are free from dust or debris during operation.
- Ensure cooling-vents are free from any form of obstruction during operation.
GENERAL INFORMATION
INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW
The KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station is an all-in-one Inverter/DCDC
charger. Featuring multiple different outlets to power all of your devices and
accessories. The KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station is powered by a
LiFePO4 12.8V 512Wh internal battery.
Includes a 600W inverter with 2 x 240V outlets. Charge your devices using the
15W (MAX) Wireless charging or 2 x 5V 2.4A USB sockets, 2 x 18W (MAX) USB QC,
65W (MAX) USB-C PD and 30W (MAX) USB-C PD. Also features 2 x 6mm 12V 6A DC
Jack Outputs, 1 x 12V 12A Cigarette socket and 1 x 12V 25A Anderson style
output. Charge the Power Station using solar, your car alternator or the 12V
input via the mini Anderson style connector or 8mm DC jack input via the AC
adapter provided.
The backlit LCD provides real time feedback on the performance of the
unit.Displays calculations of Amps, Volts and Watts plus hours of all DC/AC
inputs and outputs.
The KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station comes ready to plug & play, with
all charging and adapter cables provided to connect your devices straight out
of the box.
LCD DISPLAY
- OVERLOAD LED: Character is displayed if the AC output is short circuited or overloaded.
- LIGHT LED: Displayed when light bar is turned on.
- WIRELESS LED: Wireless charging is enabled.
- BATTERY POWR INDICATOR LED: Provides an approximation of the device SOC.
- SOC LED: Percentage calculation of device SOC. (Percentage will only be displayed when switching to display voltage).
- “888.8” INPUT LED: Displays voltage, current, power or hour of charging at the input terminal.
- INPUT LED: Indicates input values.
- OUTPUT LED: Indicates output values.
- HRS LED: Indicates the battery timing of charging and discharging.
- WATT LED: Indicates the input and output power.
- VOLT LED: Indicates the input and output voltage.
- AMP LED: Indicates input and output current.
- V LED: Indicates value is a Voltage.
- LOAD OVER-CURRENT LED: Load overcurrent, overload, short circuit, input overvoltage display icon.
- BMS COMMS LED: Indicates internal communication failure with the Battery Management System (BMS).
- LOW TEMP LED: Indicates internal temperature. When the LED is solid, it is less than 0°C. When the LED is flashing, it is less than 10°C.
- HIGH TEMP LED: Indicates the inverter is operating above temperature and the device is temperature protected.
- “1888.8” OUTPUT LED: Displays the voltage, current, power and hour of the load output terminal.
- “88.8” LED: Displays the percentage of battery voltage and quantity (press the function switch button to select).
CONTROL PANEL
- Power Button: Press to turn on the COMPACT 600. One short press will turn the back light on and off. One long press (3s and release) will turn the COMPACT 600 off.
- Mode Button: Switches the display between Voltage, Current, Power and battery hour.
- LCD Display: Displays battery voltage, input/output power, display battery percentage, alarms and error codes.
- DC Button: Controls DC outputs (6mm DC socket, CIG socket, Anderson Socket). When enabled and in normal operation, button back-light will be blue. When an over-current or short circuit occurs, the button back-light will turn red and the LCD will show an error. In an error condition, all outputs will be disabled. Disconnect and reconnect the load to enable the DC output.
- USB button: Controls USB outputs (including wireless charging). When enabled and in normal operation, the button back-light will be blue and the Wireless Charging LED is displayed on the LCD screen. No indication is provided for short-circuit or over-current protection. Disconnect and re-connect with the appropriate load when short-circuit or over-current protection occurs.
- AC Power Button: Controls AC output. When in normal operation, the button back-light will be blue. When an over-current or short-circuit condition occurs, the button back-light will turn red and the error icon LED and OVERLOAD LED will be displayed on the LCD. Disconnect and re-connect with the appropriate load when short-circuit or over-current protection occurs.
- LED Lighting Button: Turn on/off the LED light bar. When on, the LCD screen displays the lighting icon . The LED light has three modes, low light, bright light and pulse mode. A short press of the battery light will switch between low light, bright light and off. A long press will initiate the pulse mode.
- 8mm DC Jack: AC/DC brick adapter and PWM Solar charging input. Solar input range 15 ~ 24Vdc, maximum charging current is 8A. The COMPACT 600 can be charged via a solar panel within 100W or via the supplied AC/DC brick adapter. When charging, the Battery Power Indicator LED on the LCD screen will start flashing. When full, the Battery Power Indicator LED will stop flashing and display full charge. When the input voltage exceeds 30V, the device will enter over- voltage protection and display the on the LCD will turn on.
- Charge LED Light: Flashes blue when charging, solid when fully charged.
- Mini Anderson Socket: 12V and MPPT Solar charging input. The COMPACT 600 can be charged via solar or directly from the vehicle alternator. Solar input voltage 12.5V ~ 60VCD. Maximum charge current of 15A. Ensure solar input does not exceed 230W. Over-voltage protection will trigger at 62V, when this occurs the input LEDs on the LCD display will flash.
- Charge LED Light: Flashes blue when charging, solid when fully charged.
- 65W TYPE-C Port: Supports 5-20V, 3.25A, with max 65W input. Supports 5V/9V/12V/15V/20V, 3A, with max 65W output. No indication is provided for short-circuit or over-current protection. Disconnect and re-connect with the appropriate load when short-circuit or over-current protection occurs.
- 6mm DC Jack: 2 x 12V 6A – paralleled. When overload or short-circuit event occurs, LCD screen displays OVERLOAD, error icon and DC LED back-light will turn red. To recover, disconnect and re-connect the load.
- Anderson socket: 12V 25A Max Output. When overload or short-circuit event occurs, LCD screen displays OVERLOAD and error icon . To recover, disconnect and re-connect the load. If output exceeds 30A, the resettable circuit breaker will trip (#15).
- 30A resettable circuit breaker: >30A over-current protection for Anderson connector (#14).
- CIG Socket: 12V 12A Max Output. When overload or short-circuit event occurs, LCD screen displays OVERLOAD, and error icon and DC LED back-light will turn red. To recover, disconnect and re-connect the load.
- White USB port: 5V 2.4A Output. No indication is provided for short-circuit or over-current protection. Disconnect and re-connect with the appropriate load when short-circuit or overcurrent protection occurs.
- Orange USB Socket: 5V/9V/12V, 3A Max Output, 18W Max. No indication is provided for shortcircuit or over-current protection. To recover, disconnect and re-connect the load.
- 30W Type-C Socket: 5V/9V/12V, 3A Max Output, 30W Max. No indication is provided for shortcircuit or over-current protection. To recover, disconnect and re-connect the load.
- LED Light: LED light has three modes, low light, bright light and pulse mode.
- AC Socket: Support 230V, 600W pure sine wave output. When overload or short circuit event occurs, LCD screen displays OVERLOAD, displayed error icons and AC LED backlight will turn red. To recover, disconnect and re-connect the load.
- Wireless Charging: 15W Max Output. Ensure mobile phone is positioned in designated charging zone on the COMPACT 600. When charging, Green Wireless Charge LED (#23) will be displayed. If the mobile phone is positioned incorrectly or there is an issue with charging, the red Wireless Charge LED (#23) will be displayed. To clear, reposition the mobile phone to the designated charging area on the KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station. Refer to diagram on page 11 for component call out.
- Wireless Charging Indicator Light: Displays the green LED when charging. Displays the red LED when mobile phone is incorrectly placed or there is an issue with charging. Refer to diagram on page 11 for component call out.
NOTE: When battery voltage <10.5V , KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power
Station will be in low voltage protection. All outputs will be disabled.
NOTE: When no loads are detected for 5mins, KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium
Power Station will enter standby mode.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
CHARGING YOUR KICKASS COMPACT 600 LITHIUM POWER STATION
CHARGE FROM AC/DC ADAPTOR
KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station can be charged from the 8mm charging
port and the 5A AC/DC power brick provided with the unit. When connected,
charging information will be displayed on the LCD display. The LCD display
will indicate 100% once the unit has reached full capacity.
NOTE: While charging, the AC/DC power brick will get warm, this is normal
operation.
NOTE: Ensure only the supplied AC/DC power brick us used for charging.
DCDC CHARGING – ALTERNATOR INPUT
The KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium
Power Station can be charged from the vehicle alternator using the cigarette
socket to mini Anderson cable assembly supplied with the device. The LCD
display will indicate 100% once unit has reached full capacity.
DCDC CHARGING – MPPT SOLAR INPUT (230W)
KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power
station can be charged with up to 230W Solar through the Mini Anderson to 50A
Anderson cable adapter provided with the unit.
Caution!
When connecting solar to the KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station, ensure
the connected solar is unregulated i.e. no solar regulator or controller
connected between the solar panel and the KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power
Station.
The Voc rating of the connected solar should not exceed 60V or 230W Max power.
DCDC CHARGING – PWM SOLAR INPUT (100W)
The KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium
Power Station can be charged with up to 100W of Solar through the 8mm DC port
with a compatible Solar panel.
Caution!
When connecting solar to the KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station, ensure
the connected solar is unregulated i.e. no solar regulator or controller
connected between the solar panel and the KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power
Station
The Voc rating of the connected solar should not exceed 24V or 100W Max power.
WIRELESS PHONE CHARGING
The KickAss COMPACT
600 Lithium Power Station can be used to charge wireless charging enabled
mobile devices. To start charging, ensure phone is located in the wireless
charging zone on top of the KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station. Press
the DC charging button and ensure the DC LED back-light is blue. When
charging, the green Wireless Charge LED will be displayed. If the mobile phone
is positioned incorrectly or there is an issue with charging, the red Wireless
Charge LED will be displayed. To clear, reposition mobile phone to the
designated charging area on the KickAss COMPACT 600 Lithium Power Station.

Warranty Period:
KickAss Products Pty Ltd (KickAss) of 2 Mallet Street, Kunda Park QLD 4556
offers a 12 month warranty from date of purchase against manufacturing defects
in KickAss products.
Warranty Inclusions:
Under ordinary usage conditions, this warranty covers any defect in design or
manufacture which results in our product failing to perform substantially as
described in our advertising or literature (i.e. product manuals).
Where we are at fault during the warranty period, we will either repair or
replace the product (or part of the product) at our discretion. When a product
is repaired or replaced under this warranty, the original warranty period is
not renewed or extended. This warranty is provided in addition to your other
rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law and does not exclude,
restrict, modify, limit or override your rights under the Australian Consumer
Law.
Warranty Exclusions:
Our warranty is non-transferable and is only offered to the original purchaser
of our product.
Our warranty does not apply to:
- damage caused by any improper use of our product(s);
- damage caused by faulty installation or modification made during installation;
- damage caused by mould, insects, animals, misuse, incorrect operation, adverse weather, accidents and fair wear and tear;
- damage caused by exposure to excessive sunlight;
- costs, losses or charges:
- of removing and reinstalling the product;
- directly or indirectly associated with the product failing to operate.
- commercial use of KickAss products by government organisations or commercial fleet applications;
- KickAss products that are on-sold by the customer or exported for use outside of Australia.

provide your proof of purchase (i.e. sales receipt) to assist with your
warranty claim. Once we approve your warranty claim, we will arrange (at our
cost) return shipping of the faulty product to an assessment facility of our
choice. Once we have determined the cause of the defect, we will contact you
with the outcome of our assessment and advise whether the faulty product will
be repaired or replaced.
Australian Consumer Law:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are
also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be
of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
